About the home

Number 86 is located in a pretty, gated development on a hillside on the outskirts of the unspoiled, local town of Algorfa, and is only twelve minutes drive from Guardamar's sandy beach, 15 mins drive from the nearest water park (there are a few nearby!) and just two minutes from, La Finca, a true golfers' heaven. A new hotel spa has recently opened offering fine dining and luxurious day spa facilities to non-residents. Nearby activities include: tennis, cycling, water parks, nature reserve, hiking and much more. Perfect for any age!

Set in a peaceful location, the property is only ten minutes' walk from the local bars, restaurants and shops and has easy access to city hotspots: Alicante and Murcia. The local Sunday market offers everything from food to souvenirs and clothes.

The property has a large roof solarium with lovely mountain views, ideal for sunbathing, eating al fresco and generally chilling out. There is also a veranda for outdoor, but covered dining during autumn mornings or slightly breezy evenings. Our little abode is clean and well-furnished with everything necessary for an easy, straightforward and enjoyable holiday. We also have a comfy sofa bed available to accommodate groups of 5 to 6.

There is a utility area outside the back door with washing machine, a sink for handwashing/rinsing swimwear, etc, a clothes drier, a hose and a games trunk full of goodies for those who don't like to lie in the sun all day!

There is a travel cot available, so that you don't have to bring yours, or hire one. From November there will be a baby bath too.

Arco Med VI is a secure complex with easy to use entry system, providing both comfort and security during your holiday. We have a games trunk for guests' use, containing tennis rackets, footballs, beach mats, a lilo and other games for use during your stay. The roof terrace has its own shower - so you can cool off without having to go too far!

There is a large, communal pool, together with adjacent children's pool and a paddle tennis court. There is a children's park right next door and tennis courts just down the road. There are two excellent water parks local to the bungalow.

The area enjoys year-round sunshine and activities and entertainments to suit every age and taste.

Airport transfers can be arranged for those not hiring a car or who want to hire a car locally for a day or two.

Tea, coffee, sugar and various dry and tinned goods (pasta, rice, tomatoes etc.) are always available in the house. The local supermarket is well stocked with food, drink, toiletries and hardware. (If flying with limited baggage allowance why not leave your toiletries behind and buy them in Spain?) We can provide a basics pack if you are arriving early morning or late at night to see you through until the shops open. Please phone for details.

Baby equipment hire can be arranged for you (we do not currently have our own for hygiene and storage reasons). Please enquire for prices. The local supermarket is well stocked with nappies, baby toiletries etc. so no need to bring lots with you.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The Costa Blanca has an exceptional climate: 3000 hours of sunshine a year, with winter temperatures often in the 20s. You can live an outdoor lifestyle here all year round - from November to February it is TWICE AS WARM in the Alicante region as in the UK.

The Algorfa / Arco Mediterrano VI area

An unspoilt town, Algorfa has the best of all worlds: blue flag beaches, nature reserves, leisure facilities, world-class golf, rest and relaxation.
Only a 30 minute drive from Alicante Airport, Algorfa is a superb location for making the most of all the popular Costa Blanca has to offer. Set in beautiful countryside, yet with vibrant beach resorts and fabulous golf clubs nearby, a holiday in Algorfa has something for everyone.
Three beautiful, safe, Blue Flag beaches, La Mata, Guardamar and La Zenia, are only a short distance away. La Pedrera, a haven for walkers and mountain bikers, with its network of trails, camping, and barbecue areas is also nearby. There are also three top class golf courses, including Algorfa's own La Finca Golf Club, right on the doorstep.
Set on the banks of the Segura River, in the Vega Baja valley, Algorfa is in the heart of richly fertile land and is an important citrus farming village. The river is the life blood of the area, its waters have been channelled into thousands of irrigation ditches, the foundations of which were laid by the Romans and the Moors. Agriculture is of vital importance here, indeed Vega Baja produces the majority of Alicante's fresh fruit and vegetables.
The people of Algorfa are welcoming and kind. Local festivals occur all year round and visitors are welcome to watch or join in.
