Luxury ground floor apartment within the Fontana complex is situated on the edge of the small Spanish village of Algorfa, offering good local amenities, surrounded by orange and lemons groves. Ideal for families seeking relaxation, likewise for golfers with La Finca Golf 5 minutes away. The apartment is located on the inside of a quadrant, overlooking the shared swimming pool. The friendly village of Algorfa offers many Spanish shops, bars and restaurants, many around the village square. There is also a village swimming pool and children’s play area (open to everyone) with sports fields next to the apartment complex. There is a Tennis Club with full facilities, including restaurant and indoor swimming pool (2 minutes drive).
Excellent environment for young children, safe pool area which is gated. The complex itself is gated and there are lifts down to underground secure dedicated parking space. Telephone intercom access.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The region in which Algorfa sits is semi-rural, with acres of orange and lemon groves lining the roads in and out of the village. The towns of Murcia, Orihuela and Alicante are just a short drive away and well worth a visit.
The Costa Blanca means ‘white coast’ due to its fine white sandy beaches. The nearest resort of Guardamar is 10 – 15 minutes drive away. This is the start of approximately 15 miles of fabulous sandy beaches stretching north towards Alicante. Various cafes/restaurants can be found at intervals all along the beach.
Murcia has a lovely cathedral, excellent shopping and an old casino. Guardamar is a lovely town 15 minutes away, with museums, pine groves, parks and miles of golden sands. Alicante is a busy city with excellent shopping, a varied nightlife with the restaurants centralised and a pleasant port in which to sit and relax at the cafes. Don't miss Alicante castle.
There is also the bustling resort of Torrevieja 15 minutes drive away with its beautiful coastline, shops, bars, restaurants and night market. Terre Mitica water park is 45 minutes drive and Torrevieja water park is about 15 minutes away.
This region boasts many golf courses with 15 championship golf courses located between Alicante and La Manga, and a further 10 in the planning stages.
Due to both the sunshine and the two huge salt lakes which result in low humidity levels, the region is rated one of the healthiest places in the world by the World Health Organisation. People swear by the healing properties of the mud found in the lakes.
Algorfa / Algorfa Village area
Algorfa. Spectacular countryside and mountains surround the village of Algorfa, which boasts a lovely village square which holds regular festivals and a Wednesday Market. Residencial Fontana is located on the edge of the town, a typical Spanish village with a central square, bars, cafes, restaurants, banks, pharmacy, small supermarket and bakeries. There are shops selling local produce i.e. butchers, bakers, the locals are friendly and only too happy for you to try before you buy.
There are several local bars and restaurants serving both Spanish and English food. There is a British bar and a stylish English cafe bar. The bars are very child friendly and there is a pool table and other bar games in one local bar.
Across the road to the apartment there is the village recreational grounds which includes a children's play area, football pitch, and there is also a large outdoor swimming pool.
Almoradi village is 5 mins drive and has an array of shops and restaurants. Los Montosinos is about 5 minutes drive south and has lots of shops, supermarket and restaurants and also has a market on Sunday mornings, which has stalls selling a good range of fresh and pre-cooked items as well as gifts and souveniors.
Ideally situated for golfing and beach holidays, as the apartment is 5 minutes away from La Finca golf course and 15 minutes from miles of blue flag sandy golden beaches.
Facilities within 20 Minutes Drive. Close to the apartment are golden beaches of Guardamar, sailing, wind surfing, fishing, walking, cycling, horse riding, golf, tennis, a sports centre, theatre/cinema, shopping areas, restaurants etc. La Finca Golf course is 5 minutes away, and the courses at Villamartin and Las Ramblas within 20 minutes.
Twenty minutes from Algorfa brings you to Haberneras on the outskirts of Torrevieja, which is a major shopping centre with major branded shops. Additionally there are numerous American, Chinese Indian and Spanish restaurants including the fast food chains (McDonalds, Burger King), an Irish pub and also a casino. There are some good value Spanish restaurants in the area which can be recommended, for just tapas or full Spanish cuisine. The price is significantly cheaper than in the UK.
Facilities within 45 Minutes Drive. Within easy reach of the apartment there is water skiing, boat hire, climbing, mountain biking, historic sites, a museum, a theme park. The cities of Alicante, Torrevieja and Murcia provide much of interest and shopping too.
