My two-bedroom Spanish holiday apartment is located in a lovely area of the Costa Blanca, within easy reach of both Alicante and Murcia airports. The apartment is in well maintained gated community. The Fontana development is located on the edge of the small Spanish town of Algorfa , and is next to open countryside, including orange and lemon groves. The apartment is in an elevated position, with good views over the surrounding area, nearby mountains and the countryside.
The Fontana Algorfa development comprises four sets of apartments around a communal pool and landscaped walkways. Entry is by wrought iron gates or secure underground car park (with your own dedicated space), with lifts serving the three floors above ground level. My apartment is an “Atico” on the top floor. It has a private balcony with good views and a spiral staircase up to a private roof solarium which, of course, is a sun trap.
If you are interested in making a booking please check the availability calendar which is kept completely up to date. This will save you time enquiring about dates that have already gone. Also you can be fairly certain that if dates appear to be free, they are available.

The apartment is fully air conditioned (which doubles up as a blown warm air heating system for chilly winter evenings) and has two bedrooms – one double and one twin. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge area making is possible to sleep up to six people. The apartment has an entrance hall, utility room with washing machine, kitchen area (including hob, oven and fridge/freezer), lounge, two bedrooms, and a bathroom with bath, shower, sink, wc and bidet. The apartment is fully furnished, with all the crockery, cutlery and pots and pans that you might need. Bed linen and towels (but not beach towels) are included. There is satelite TV and a DVD player. Wifi is available for a small extra charge of 10 euros a week. The electricity is run from a card payment meter. Each rental week includes 15 euros of electricity which is sufficient for normal usage. Additional cards can be bought from my local on site rep.

There is a secure underground car park accessed via an electronic key. Alternatively there is plenty of free parking on the roads around Fontana 1. The apartment complex is next to orange and lemon groves and a road leading up to La Finca Golf course, so the area is very countryfied. There are a number of restaurants and bars a short walk away. Also banks and a small English owned Supermarket. The village also contains a bakery, Bank, internet cafe and many other shops. There is a lift to all floors. There are 5 golf courses nearby, with La Finca right on your doorstep.
There is a changeover charge per booking so that the apartment can be prepared by our local representatives for the next visitors. You will be asked to pay 50 Euros on arrival for up to one week in the apartment, and 60 Euros for longer stays. You will be asked to pay a non-returnable deposit to secure your booking, with the balance for the rental charge paid by cheque or PayPal one month before your holiday. We work with other owners on the same complex and in the event of any date clashes, unexpected maintenance work etc we reserve the right to give you an identical apartment on the same complex should this be necessary (it rarely is)
The Costa Blanca/Valencia region
With 320 sunny days a year, the Costa Blanca is one of the best bets for sun all year round. The stretch of coastline between Alicante and Mucia boast some of the best beaches in Spain, with our nearest beach, Guardama, always ranked amongst the best. The sand dunes behind the beach are a protected area. Bustling Alicante will satisfy those who like historic cites and shopping, while there is a huge outdoor market every Sunday about two miles away. There are some lovely day trips to be had - to Elche/Elx, which has its famous palms and botanical gardens and zoo, to the island of Pola where you can snorkel amongst fish and reef, and to nearby Torrevieja where there are shops and two water parks.
You could find all you want in Alforga, with a range of local bars, cafes and restaurants -- as well as shops and internet cafes. There is a market every weekend in this typically Spanish village, with a quaint village square and light traffic. Further afield (but not too far) there are some great restaurants at San Miguel (yes, and drink the beer!) and Almoradi. Plenty of golf courses nearby, a large municipal swimming pool, tennis courts and a huge lake at San Miguel for those who like catching carp and barbel.
