About the home

The apartment is 65 sqm on the first floor in a two family house. It is located in centre town, with free parking in the street, the sea front and the port are 5 minutes walking away. The first beach can be reached walking, the others by bus (near the apartment) or by car. The apartment is also very near the old town, near all the supermarkets, restaurants, shops and pubs.

In the apartment you'll find air-conditioning and everything you need:satellite TV ,a well equipped kitchen, washing machine, iron, hair-dryer,fridge/freezer.

Along the bastion walls of Alghero (10 min walking) there are some restaurants and bars : historic traditions, ancient Catalan flavours from Alghero cuisine, images and paths through the walls of the ancient town, an appointment for every season.

The Sardinia region

Sardinia is the tourist capital for vacations on the Mediterranean sea and Alghero can offer you a very special holiday.
Northwest Sardinia is a land of wild, dense green maquis interspersed with wind blown rocks and some of the finest beaches on the island. The region of Alghero has remained largely unspoilt and is recognised for its charming seaside resorts, archaeological sites and above all, its spectacular coastline.

Alghero itself boasts an atmospheric old town which has retained its Catalan favours and tends to be rather crowded in the height of the summer season. Near Alghero (50Km.) there is Stintino with restaurants and one of the most stunning beaches nearby : La Pelosa. La Pelosa beach is one of Sardinia's famous swimming spots, lapped by shallow, turquoise sea of crystalline clarity. Some say it is one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe.

The nature Reserve at Porto Conte is an extremely important example of natural environment of Alghero: it provides a beautiful, safe home for many different and interesting species of flora and fauna. These 1200 hectares are also known as the ‘Arca’ meaning ‘Noah’s Ark’. This area provides an ideal habitat for many species of animals: the Sardinian partridge, the griffon vulture , the peregrine falcon, the sparrow hawk etc.

The Alghero / Storico area

Located on the Northwest coast of Sardinia, Alghero has become a major holiday destination in recent years and yet still retains its distinctive Catalan character. This derives from the influence of Pedro IV of Aragon who seized control of the town in the mid-fourteenth century and embarked on an intense period of colonization from Spain.

In winter the climate is very warm so the walk on the old walls of the old city with some very nice cafes and restaurants (ranges from young to older generations) and the sunset facing the neptun grotto is mindblowing!
the most famous beaches that you have to see are Le Bombarde It's really a nice sand beach and at all the sea wather is just cristal-clear! it's the beach for young people (20 - 30 years old) in the afternoon after nights live .there are Lazzareto, La Speranza , Maria Pia, and Capo Caccia with the "!Grotte di Nettuno" : old caves discovered by fishermen in the 18th century. and you can visit by boat or if you wish by 700 stairs!

“Splendid the perfect location for the old town” My wife and i stayed for ten nights in this beautiful apartment in alghero. on arrival we were struck by the space in the apartment and the lovely balconies and roof terrace. the apartment is much better in real life and much bigger. all modcons were there too. we rented a car and the direction to the apartment were perfect. our host Grazia was most warm and greeted us like old friends making the welcome all themore special. she was very helpful about everthing . we found parking in the street was not a huge problem and generally parked outside the apartment. I would recomend for couples or a family to our host grazia i thank for your beautiful welcome and my wife and i look forward to our visit again next september.. Response: Ciao! “A wonderful apartment close to all amenities in a beautiful town.” My wife and I and our two daughters stayed in this apartment for 6 weeks from the end of June 2011. The apartment itself is extremely comfortable, very large with a balcony on two sides and a large roof terace. It is very well appointed and has everything one needs for the holiday. Both kithchen and bathroom are modern with all the comforts of home. The owner is very helpful and checked to see we were ok on a number of occcasions; she lives nearby and is always available. The apartment is situated a few minutes walk from the heart of the beautiful old town and to shops, bars and some wonderful restaurants. There is terrific rocky beach about 7 minutes walk from the apartment and many more closeby. I could not recommend the apartment more highly and hope to return next year. “a cozy apartment in the center of Alghero! simply great!” FIVE STAR apartment ***** the apartment is located in a great position, very central and close to the old town & harbour.. also the beaches aren´t far. it´s cozy (there was everything we needed!!) and it´s much more spacious than it looks in the pictures! We love the terrace!! (we enjoyed breakfast every day there!!!). The owner has been very gentle and she give us all the information about how to reach the beaches of Alghero, and also the little restaurant we coudn´t miss. We came in Sardinia without car, and we easily managed to explore the city by walk and we also have rent a bike for one day. what a great holiday!! “delivered on its promises” We had a perfect vacation in this lovely apartment. It is located at a very convenient distance to both the beach and the old town. There are several supermarkets within 5 minutes walking distance. Our host maria grazia is very friendly and forthcomming and I can only reccomend this appartment to other travelers.
