A sunny apartment in the second floor of an historical house of the 15th century in the very centre of the medieval city of Alghero, with a fantastic terrace in front of the port and three windows on the "Piazza Civica", the square where Emperor Charles V° said "todos caballeros" to the people of Alghero.
Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a wide Kitchen, all the facilities, completely furnished.
you can reach the next beach by walking along the port and the seashore for 15 min. From the port you can take lovely trips on the fishermen's boats.

The Sardinia region

Alghero is a beautiful medieval city on the sea.
There are a lot of beaches to choose for your sunny days, and a lot of restaurants, bars and discos for your evenings and nights; car is not necessary, you can arrive anywhere by foot, bycicle (that you can rent) and buses.
In the country near the city you can find also renowned vineyards to visit, horse-riding centres and prehistorical sites with guided visits.

Alghero area

Every evening in the port of Alghero you can hear sardinian local singers; there are horse carts carryng tourists in the centre of the city, and boats making sea trips to the "Grotte di Nettuno", beautiful sea caves under the cliff of "Capo Caccia".

How to get there

My property is easy to reach: fly directly to Alghero Airport (or to Roma airport, then to Alghero) then take the local bus to the city centre. The bus takes only 20 minutes to arrive in Alghero, at a distance of 5 minutes by feet from the apt; the property is situated in the very centre of Alghero, just in front of the touristic port.

Further details indoors:
All the house, included the bathrooms have been recently completely renewed; each bathroom has wc, one of them shower and the other bath tub.
bathroom and bedroom towels and linen are available on request (not included in the price of the house, € 20,00 per person per week).
There is an extra payment for the electrical energy used, € 30,00 per person per week, and total € 60,00 for home cleaning.
for the 2008 year we have added a new double bed, and a cot.
exceptionally is available a single bed (in the same room where is the double bed) for an extra fifth person, but the price is 200 euro more for week; there is even a sofa bed for two people, in the hall, in this case the price for six people is 350 euro more for week, for seven people is 450 euro more for week.

Conditions

A deposit is required to book the apt, to be sent via bank.
not suitable for wheelchair users or for people with legs problems (second floor without elevator).
usually the apt will be free at 14.00 o'clock in the day of arrival, and should be let not after 10.00 o'clock in the day of departure: this is necessary when even the week before or the week after are booked, if not the time is free without any additional charge.

Lower prices for two people only: € 200 for the 7.1-31.3/28.10-22.12 period, € 500 for the 15.4-23.6/23.9-27.10 period, and € 600 for the 24.6-4.8/26.8-22.9 and 23.12-7.1 periods.
For Easter the price is 650 euro per week, 450 if two people.
the change over day is saturday.
extras per week: 60 euro for home cleaning, 20 euro per person for linen and towels, 30 euro per person for energy charges.
The special two people rental prices include only one bedroom availability.

"the apartment is very large and well equipped with everything you need, especially in the Kitchen. The terrace is large and overlooks the water, and we enjoyed many evenings there with a bottle of wine and cooking on the bbq provided. The apartment has just the best location! It is very near the bus stop from the airport, 10 minutes walk to a nice sandy beach, 2 minutes walk to the marina wich comes alive in the evenings with street entertainers. The old town wich is packed with little shops and restaurants is lovely to explore and is just a short walk away too. The apartment overlooks a lovely historical square, where you can sit outside with a coffee and croisant in the morning and quietly people watch. It was the perfect apartment for our family, and we will be back again soon!" (Mrs. Paula Ellen, England).
