About the home
Amy's House is ideally located on Alghero' Lido, having a wonderful view over the bay. A first floor apartment with a large balcony where you can enjoy wonderful views over the sea and relaxing moments watching the world go by and admire amazing sunsets, a truly romantic place where you will want to return time and time again.
Across the street from the white sand beach, the apartment is ideally located, nearby there are excellent restaurants, bars, coffee shops, ice cream parlours, supermarkets and much more. There is a bus stop opposite the apartment for a short ride into the historic town centre or you can take a leisurely ten minutes walk along the promenade for a more enjoyable experience. Whatever your decision you take, you will want to do it again.

The Sardinia region
The enchanting Mediterranean island Sardinia is probably one of the most beautiful islands in the world. A paradise graced by a warm climate that has Italians and international tourists flocking to its shores. A scenery inland, rocky coasts, white sandy beaches, clear sea waters, breathtaking sunsets, where nature, history, prehistoric monuments and culture all mix together to make Sardinia so beautiful, unforgettable....and so captivating, making you want to come and live here forever!
The Alghero / Lido area
Alghero is a bustling town where 400 years of Spanish Catalan domination in the past have left their heritage and influence. Churches, buildings, cobbled narrow streets, bastion walls that in the past made the town a fortress against the invaders, all invite the visitor to gaze and discover the beauty the town has to offer. Catalan language today is still spoken by the locals and schools have begun lessons for anyone wanting to learn it. White sandy beaches stretch for miles, where snorkelling is a must as you can see the seabed and its flora and fauna. Rocky coast and small secluded beaches make it a paradise for sun lovers. Scuba diving, windsurfing, deep-sea immersions, sailing, boat trips for a day out at sea with lunch on board are many of the activities on offer.
Festivals and sagras are not to be missed:
*At Easter the < Settimana Santa > Holy Week celebrations that are as the most suggestive in Sardinia.
*From January to March the < Sagra del Bogamarì >the sea-urchin tasting festival.
*April to May the pilgrimage to the Valverde church just a few kilometres inland.
*September sees the celebrations of San Michele, Patron Saint of the town, with lots of street parties and shows a huge fireworks finale and lots more!
*Christmas and New Year celebrations are also full of entertainments for even the most discerning visitor and a fireworks display welcomes the New Year.
*Throughout the year there are many inland festivals that are within easy reach by car, I Candelieri in Sassari, La Sagra Del Redentore in Nuoro are two that are fascinating and sure to give you unforgettable moments.
With a vast number of places to visit you are spoilt for choice, a couple of places we recommend you visit are
the breathtaking Grottos of Neptune, the prehistoric Nuraghe of Palmavera and may I also include the world famous vineyards and cellars of the Sella and Mosca local wine producer. Or you can plan your own itinerary as an endless list of places to visit and things to do all year around will make you want to come back again and again.

To secure the reservation of the apartment we require a deposit,it can be paid by credit card, PayPal, or by a bank transfer, the remaining balance can be settled in Euro cash on arrival at the apartment.
A final cleaning fee of 50 Euro is added to the final bill
If required, a baby cot can also be provided for a fee of 30 Euro.
Beach towels can also be provided for a small donation to a local charity.
A free taxi transfer from the airport to the apartment is given to early bookings.
