Alford is a town in Lincolnshire, England, It is situated approximately 11 miles north-west from the coastal resort of Skegness, and at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Lincolnshire is a gem of a county, offering miles of Golden Sands along the beautiful coastline. Inland there are the gentle rolling hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds with many hidden, quaint villages. Wonderful old churches abound with the crowning glory of Lincoln Cathedral & nearby Castle, a must visit location. Museums , Historic houses , Aviation ,Farming, the Seals at Donna Nook, explore the Fens, visit the Fishing Heritage, only some of the reasons to come & visit, all nestling under the wide open skies of this glorious County.

Myrtle Cottage is located just off the main road, West Street, tucked behind 'Craftmartins', in a quiet, secluded spot.

It is only yards from Alford's thatched Manor House & within easy walking distance of Alford's five sail working windmill and St Wilfrid's Church. It is ideally situated for the Tuesday and Friday markets and the many Inn's and restaurants in Alford.

Alford is only 5 miles from the glorious East Coast with its golden sands & sand dunes full of wildlife. In October & November crowds flock to see the new born seal pups at Donna Nook which is only 10 miles up the coast.

In the other direction are the glorious Lincolnshire Wolds and all the treasures they offer.
