The Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park region

The Loch Lomond Shores is a commercial development housing retail outlets and the National Park Gateway Centre, where you can learn all about the famous loch and its surrounds. There are also a number of woodland walks that head out from the National Park Gateway Centre and you can even hire a canoe, kayak or bike to explore further. The restored paddle steamer, the Maid of the Loch, is in residence here.

Loch Lomond, The Trossachs & The Forth Valley has lots of things to see and do. It has an impressive selection of castles, mountains, glens and lochs in the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. Children and adults alike will enjoy local wildlife and arts and culture and the number of attractions which include historic houses, a wildlife park and adventure park.

Alexandria

A modern property on the outskirts of the village of Balloch, lying close to the shores of Loch Lomond and within Scotland's first National Park.

Balloch often referred to as the gateway to the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. It has excellent road and rail links from Glasgow which make it a popular place to visit and good place to start exploring the National Park.

With its accessible location at the southern end of Loch Lomond and just off the main road from Glasgow to the West Highlands, it is an important centre of tourism. The largest number of boats cruising on Loch Lomond leave from here. It contains Balloch Country Park and Balloch Castle.

"Lovely apartment"

Lovely apartment, has everything you need. Good location. Parking outside your door. Is near to a busy-ish road. Wasnt an issue for us or our young kids but just to bear in mind if you are light sleepers. Recommend you try the new pub by balloch shores...I think it was called Queen of the loch?! Lovely, new and verg helpful with fussy eaters like my young son. Would stay again

Thanks for your review. It is a great location with everything you need a few minutes away. Understand about the road but never bothered us either. Good to know about the hotel for future guests. Must try it, too!! Hopefully you will book with me again:)
