The Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park region

The wild and romantic beauty of Loch Lomond (and the nearby Trossachs ) – known collectively as Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, has attracted poets, writers, sightseers and visitors for many generations.

Since the early 19th century people have been travelling en mass to Loch Lomond for a day out from Glasgow which itself is a huge visitor attraction only 40 minutes away from the apartments). Just like the travellers today they enjoy not only some of the world's most amazing scenery but also the peace and tranquility that Loch Lomond provides. Some 7 million people still lose themselves in the vast countryside and waters of Loch Lomond every year.

From the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, the famous loch which now fall within the boundaries of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, to Helensburgh's elegant promenades and the shipping heritage of the Clyde, celebrated throughout West Dunbartonshire, there is quite literally something to please every visitor here. And what a fantastic highland big country touring base, whether by car, cycle or motor bike, Loch Lomond is, with Oban and Inveraray, Stirling and Callander, and Glencoe Rannoch Moor and Fort William being well within a comfortable day trip.

Loch Lomond is a magical place and when you book your stay with us at Lomond Castle Apartments we will transport you to a uniquely relaxing and stunning state of mind, in a luxury, quiet, very romantic and contemporary loch side environment. With breathtaking scenery to thrill the heart and awaken the senses.

Arriving at your Lomond Castle Apartments holiday home on the 'bonnie banks' of Loch Lomond is just like coming home. Just a leisurely 45 minute drive from Glasgow or Glasgow Airport, and we're here.

Our luxury self catering apartments are situated on the ground floor of Lomond Castle, a B listed building on the shore of Loch Lomond, the largest expanse of fresh water in Britain. Set within 6 acres of landscaped private gardens and against the backdrop of the mountains beyond, Lomond Castle Apartments are just ideal for your visit to this famous loch, and the whole of loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park and beyond.

Only a 5 minute walk to the nearest restaurant/bar.

Loch Lomond is the largest inland waterway in the UK, and the real jewel in the crown of Scotland and centre piece of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. A superb guide to visiting the national park can be found at

Its setting amidst the Scottish mountains is second to none. Positioned between the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park and Ben Lomond to the east, the Arrochar Alps to the west, its superb scenery and natural , romantic beauty make Loch Lomond one of the most desirable holiday and short break locations not only in Scotland but in the entire UK.

"Wow!!!! views to die for"

A beautiul modern property set in a quiet private estate. Well maintained stylish with superbly comfortable beds. Open the patio doors first thing in the morning and breath the fresh air. The views over Loch Lomond are stunning.

Staying here actually worked out cheaper than staying in a Hotel we had our own privacy with the luxury of not being accountable to any body for meal times or when we wanted to do something.

A great jumping off point for exploring the highlands.

I would have no hesitattion in advising any body looking for smart comfortable accomodation to go ahead and book. The owners go out of their way to help you with any queries or information you might have.

"Beautiful homes from home"

I have stayed at both properties witin the lomond castle complex (no 4 & no 15) offered by this owner. Both properties are of an excellent standard. The properties are furnished and decorated beautifully. The cleanlines and maintenance within the properties is second to
none. It was very easy to book the properties and the owners are very friendly and helpful; always on hand if you need to contact them. The properties are located on the banks of the beautiful Loch Lomond and the views from the properties are amazing. The properties have a large outside area where you can eat and drink enjoying the sunshine. Having stayed at lots of different hotels and lodges in this area, I can unreservedly recommend these two proprties as the best value and most beautiful in the loch lomond area.
