About the home

Kypros Villa is perfectly positioned in a very quiet and scenic village on the outskirts of Larnaca. An ideal choice for people looking for a totally relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle and commercialism in the main resorts on the island. All rooms, terraces and balconies enjoy views of the surrounding countryside and hills of the valley and also some of the local famous attractions. It's just a short walk to the two local Tavernas which offer excellent local and international dishes at very reasonable prices. All amenities are very accessible including supermarkets, bank, bakery, pharmacy etc.

The large outdoor rear terrace is totally enclosed offering privacy but still has stunning views of the local area. The very sylish Gazebo and outdoor furnishings add to the overall comfort and style of this 5 star luxury villa.

Minimalistic and stylish is the overall theme of the interior. Furnished to a remarkably high standard with local designs to create a very plush and homely atmosphere. All soft furnishings have been very individually chosen to perfect the interior and be completely co-ordinated. All windows are dressed with stylish and colour co-ordinated "black out" blinds so that the early morning sun doesn't disturb your sleep!

All home facilities including i-pod docking stations, wifi, air conditioning and English speaking satellite TV.

The very large open plan living areas can very easily accommodate 2 families or a group of 8 people or for those who like space but prefer something special this is the perfect choice all round.

A stair hand rail has been fitted to assist our guests with mobility issues or young children. This is NOT standard in Cyprus.

Further details outdoors:
The very large rear South facing terrace which enjoys sun from dawn until dusk more than comfortably accommodates the sunloungers, outdoor rattan dining furniture and the brilliant gas BBQ. The very stylish gazebo provides a great place to dine in the shade by the pool. An umbrella is also provided for your comfort/shade.

The rear terrace offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside creating a totally relaxing ambience.

A great bonus of this villa is the combined pool and table tennis table which is in a covered area outdoors - a great social activity for everybody to enjoy and add a bit of fun and excitement to those lazy days by the pool.

The perfect setting for any party, in particular a summer party or a wedding party!

There is an outdoor pool shower, pool towels are provided and are included in the rental.

During the months of September to May a pool cover/heater is provided to retain and heat the pool if required.

To enable you to start your holiday from the minute you arrive, a grocery welcome pack is available by arrangement. List the items of your choice i.e. water, milk, bread, butter, cereal, fruit, eggs, fruit juice, tea, coffee, beer, wine etc. and they will be in the villa waiting for you. Your holiday starts from the minute you arrive!

Our property manager, Angela, who is English, lives near by and is always on hand to help and advise on local tips, directions etc,etc. She will meet you othe day after you arrive to give local information and to assist you generally throughout your stay should you need anything.

To secure your booking, a booking deposit of £200 is required, the final payment is due 8 weeks before your arrival.

Refundable security/breakages deposit of £200 required with final payment, to be refunded within one week of your departure.

The Larnaca region

Larnaca is a very cosmopolitan town offering everything you need for a fantastic holiday. It is often un-appreciated by those who don’t know any better who think it is merely home for the islands main International Airport.

Larnaca boasts a beautiful promenade lined with palm trees and pavement cafes, a marina full of multi-million pound yachts and boats, boat trips, scuba diving, world-wide cuisine, great shopping (Zara and Mango are here!), sandy beaches, water sports, good nightlife, history, culture and tradition. In addition to all of the things Larnaca has to offer it is perfectly placed, making it an ideal base from which to explore the rest of the island.

Larnaca Airport 15mins, Nicosia (the Islands Capitol city) 40mins, Limassol 25mins, Ayia Napa 45mins, Paphos 1 1/2hrs, Troodos Mountains 1 hr.

The Alethriko area

Alethriko is a tranquil village nestled in a valley surrounded by pine trees, an ideal retreat for those wanting to totally relax. The village is reknown locally for its panoramic views and tranquility where only the birds break the silence. It isoverlooked by the majestic Stavrovouni monastery high on its isolated peak.

The village centre is a short stroll away where you will find the locals in the coffee shop playing backgammon, a supermarket, church and two local tavernas. For those who enjoy walking there are tracks leading up to the tops of the hills to admire the breathtaking sea view to one side, and the panoramic views over the valley on the other.

Villa Kypros is 1km from the centre of the village and just a short walk to the nearest taverna-15 EUR for a traditional Meze (dips, grilled halloumi cheese, mix of grilled meats, salad, potatoes and fruit). Lots of other tavernas are within 15 minutes' drive in the nearby villages, or a 15 minute drive could take you down the coast to Zygi or Makenzie for a fabulous fish Meze.You are spoilt for choice and certainly won't go hungry!!

Larnaca town has several sandy beaches with sun beds, umbrellas, water sports, scuba diving, snack bars and restaurants. Other quiet beaches which are ideal for a picnic are 10 mins drive

The beauty of Alethriko is that while the village is so tranquil and idyllic, it is only a 2 minute drive to the main motorway and centrally placed on the island, anyone wanting to explore the many things Cyprus has to offer can do so with ease.

Nearby attractions include:- Just 5 minutes drive away is the recently opened Olympic standard shooting range in Klavdia, (hosts to the European Championship Shotgun event which is run by the European Shooting Confederation), Lefkara, a traditional lace making village, Mazatos Animal Park, Ten Pin Bowling, Cinema and Go karting........something for every body.

“As advertised” Yes as advertised. We had a great time 1st week in October, nice weather 29c. The villa was spotless and well appointed . The pool was cleaned twice while we were there. Angela met us to see if everything was OK, she is very helpful, sending her husband out to get us a new gas bottle for the B B Q one evening. We ate in a bit as there are great shops 10 mins drive away, and we ate out at the local restaurants, which are great value. Met Angela , her husband and little boy, and had a beer with them at the local restaurant, which was nice. Driving is no problem as the roads are very good. Walked a lot no one seems to mind where you go. A great time

“Comfortable, relaxing & enjoyable” This is a very modern villa and in a quiet area. Yes, you do need a car but the distance is only about 10mins easy drive from the airport and also to the nearest village where there are a few well stocked shops for everyday essentials. We went to a couple of local tavernas that were very welcoming and served good food. We found the villa very clean, spacious and comfortable. On the ground floor the dining/kitchen area was large and well equipped and had patio doors opening straight onto the terrace. Outside, the pool area had two eating areas, a big bar b que, plenty of sunbeds and the pool was clean and checked whilst we were there. The bedrooms were lovely. Obviously thought had gone into colour schemes and had a modern contemporary look. The beds were firm but we found them to be very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay at Kypros and look forward to another visit in the future.

“A superb holiday and villa.” From start to finish our holiday was superb. From sending the first email enquiry to returning home (which was the only down side!) the whole experience could not be faulted. The area is quiet but still just a very short drive to all the shops which had everything we needed....the village experience is totally different to a resort - a very refreshing change. The villa is so spacious and everything in it is very high quality even the BBQ is posh! We have stayed in numerous villas which were adequately furnished but Kyprosd Vilal is just streets ahead. Thanks so much for letting us use your beautiful villa which will remain fondly in our memories for a long time. We hope to be back again sooner rather than later. Elizabeth, Mark & family.
