The East Anglia region

Aldeburgh is located in the part of Suffolk known as the Heritage Coast - it is classed as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and has many attractions for people of all ages!

Nearby Towns and Villages worth visiting include Snape, Orford, Minsmere, Thorpeness, Dunwich, Woodbridge, Framlingham, Walberswick and Southwold.

Aldeburgh has a good range of shops, restaurants, cafes and other attractions. The Beach is mainly shingle and at one end of the Town is the Yacht Club which runs Courses throughout the year for those interested in Sailing

Children will love sailing model boats in the small boating lake on the Sea Front, whilst the larger boating lake in Thorpeness (known as The Meare) will keep them busy for hours as they explore the myriad of small islands dotted around its 65 acres!

There are a number of festivals throughout the year icluding the annual Poetry Festival and Music Concerts at the Snape Concert Hall nearby. In August there are a week of celebrations culminating in the Carnival - this is usually held the week before the nearby Thorpeness Regatta and Fireworks
