Villa Mal Pas
Villa | 4 bedrooms | sleeps 8
This outstanding villa is located in the pretty and sleepy residential area of Mal Pas, with the sleepy harbour of Bonaire with its restaurants and shops just a 10 minute stroll away. The property was originally an old hunting lodge, and the current owners have lovingly restored the property, including plenty of wheelhchair accesibility, retaining the original structure with lofty ceilings and sloping rafters with an elevated supporting arch all painted in bright white which gives a modern slant on the old building without eliminating its wonderful authentic character.
The villa has a gated entrance, ample parking area, and covered parking for two cars. Wraparound terraces surround this house, and a large back terrace hosts the barbecue, and a covered eating area. The peaceful garden has a large lawn area, with Carob trees, Palm trees, green shrubs and bushes.
Five steps lead from the incredibly large front terrace into a dining area that has full-size glass panelled walls overlooking the Mediterranean gardens. There is a long, light-wood table seating 10, and a pretty welsh-style dresser. The open kitchen has modern fitted units, combined with solid stone work surfaces. There is a fabulous full-sized cooking range, large side by side fridge freezer, a separate osmosis filtered water tap, and fitted dishwasher.
The main lounge plays centre stage in the middle of the villa, featuring two sumptuous cream sofas and beautiful cream leather chairs positioned around a low square coffee table. There is a large flat-screen TV here with DVD.
The gentle breeze blows through from one end of the house to the other, and the white stone floor tiles, white walls and modern lighting, create a cool and relaxing feel to this unique property. An open entrance leads into another smaller lounge area with full-size glass panels and another sofa comfortable cane seating, and an additional flat screen television. A stairway at the back leads to a rooftop sun terrace with spectacular elevated sea views towards the Formentor peninsula.
The four bedrooms all radiate out from the centre of the villa; all four rooms having ceiling fans, air conditioning, heating units, and all are similar in style. Each with private ensuite shower bathrooms, and private dressing areas, all lavishly decorated in impeccable style. There is one double room and three twin rooms, all of which have garden views. The double room also has access to a small balcony and the terrace.
The interior is all on one level inside with no steps whatsoever. At the back of the villa is a wooden ramp leading into the large conservatory, and the front twin bedroom has an ensuite specifically designed for wheelchair users as it has a large walk-in shower with no lip and no door.
This is an exceptional villa with the emphasis on comfort, in an unrivalled position just 300m from Mal pas beach. We can imagine our clients wanting to repeat their stay here, time and again.

Once a small fishing village and Pollença's harbour, Puerto Pollensa is now a magnificent bay filled with yachts and fishing boats with a 1.5-mile seafront promenade. The views across the bay to rugged headlands are exceptionally beautiful, making villas in Puerto Pollensa incredibly popular for a Villa Parade holiday. On the other side of the bay is the romantic pine walk - a pretty promenade sheltered by pine trees stretching round the horseshoe bay. It's one of the most beautiful places in Mallorca to take a stroll - starting east of the marina stretching towards the famous Illa D'Or Hotel. In addition to their Puerto Pollensa villas, Villa Parade holidays have several exclusive apartments in this very sought-after location, close to some lovely restaurants, and three additional apartments overlooking the beach just a few yards west of the marina.
Puerto Pollensa is host to long sandy beaches that curve around the bay and are divided by breakwaters and so are ideal for children. There are also a number of small, natural, sand and pebble beaches to explore. Families staying in Puerto Pollensa villas can enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with no loud discos or nightclubs, instead making the most of a fine variety of open-air cafés, restaurants, boutiques and shops.
Taste: There is a wide range of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, including several of the best fish restaurants on the island. Try the "rape a la marinera" (chunks of monkfish in a rich seafood sauce).
Drink: There are several English and Irish bars in the pretty square, mixing with designer cocktail bars, making it the perfect place to soak up the friendly nightlife.
Weekly Market: Every Wednesday 08.00 to 13.00 selling fresh products and local delicacies as well as flowers and craft goods.
Supermarkets: Large Eroski (formerly Caprabo) at the entrance to the Port on the left opposite the petrol station open Mon-Sat 9am-10pm and Sun 10am-2pm. There are a number of smaller supermarkets in the Port, perfect for stocking up on the essentials whilst staying in villas in Puerto Pollenca.
Discover even more
Formentor: Parallel to the Pine Walk is the Carretera-Formentor road which leads to the Formentor peninsula with its stunning beaches, lighthouse, and famous hotel. The mountain road has lots of hairpin bends but the views over Formentor bay from the 'mirador' lookout at the top are absolutely spectacular - and there's even a bus or boat from the Port if you don't want to use the car.
Discover: The Boquer Valley walk is a famous and picturesque walk from Puerto Pollença which takes about an hour to walk to the lovely Cala Boquer beach.
