Villa Castor was one of the first villas to be built in the area hence its superb location. It truly is a proper Spanish Villa built in the Moorish style for my wife’s family by their grandfather as a place for all the family to have their holidays.Four generations of our family continue to enjoy their holidays here- some preferring beautiful inland walks through unspoilt villages and countryside, others, hours of swimming, sailing and watersports at the beach, and some love the challenge of a mountain climb with spectacular views! It is on almost an acre of land and so close to the beach. It has a large living dining area with authentic Spanish furniture, three large bedrooms all with ensuite. No Tv which is what we all try to get away from but their are lots of hot spots nearby for internet. We seem to spend most our time outside living on the terrace if not out enjoying the island. When the sun goes down there is also a great diversity of things to do... from a quiet meal or barbecue on the terrace or visits to idyllic bars and restaurants overlooking the sea, to night-clubs, go- karting and floodlit tennis for the young and energetic! On your arrival there will be a welcome pack and a book we put together, with all the local information and best places to go on the island both near and far.

The best feature of Villa Castor is the location. You can walk to be beach in 1 minute which is great if you want to pop back to the Villa for a beer or sangria! The garden is large with palm trees and it is like stepping into an oasis when you return from the beach. Everything you could want is on the beach including wind surfers, padalo rentals, ring rides, banana rides, water skiing, etc. A supermarket that sells everything is a 2 minute walk which is very convenient. If you or your children like shows you can go to the Sunwing hotel where they have a show everynight... all you have to do is buy a drink. I can't say enough about this will have to go to discover it for yourself. We do help by leaving a book in the sitting room with all the best places to go. HAVE FUN!

Why the owner chose a home in this location

Everything is within walking distance so you don't need a car but we recommend one so you can explore this beautiful island. The walk into the Port takes about 10 minutes and is a lovely walk down the back of the beach along the promenade. It is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. We also have table tennis on one of the terraces. If you use a wheel chair there are only two steps up to get into the property.

We ask for a 30% deposit on booking and the balance paid 6 weeks before departure. We have had fantastic guests who took very good care of our property. We do however ask that if you break a dish or chair or whatever that you replace it or send a cash sum to replace the item.

The Mallorca/Majorca region

The port of Alcudia is a lovely 7 minutes walk down a promenade at the back of the beach from Villa Castor. There are great restaurants/ bars and a marina with further bars and restaurants! There is a Roman ruin and theatre nearby. Inland Alcudia is a twenty minute walk and is a must see as it is a beautiful unspoilt inland village. Port Pollensa is the next bay and the drive to Formentor is spectacular, beautiful, about a 1/2 hour drive over the mountains with amazing sea views on both sides.

There are lots of things to do in Port Alcudia. Waterparks, water skiing, all water sports on the beach which is one minute walk from the villa! Market in inland Alcudia (about 20 min. walk twice a week) Roman ruins are also a short walk. The beach is very clean and is over 7 miles of pure white sand with palm trees.
