Casa Julia is a family owned villa with its own private pool and gardens and only a short distance from the sun-soaked beautiful beaches of Alcossebre (20mins on foot or 5 mins by car).
There are 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and a twin) and 3 bathrooms (2 en suite). The kitchen is fully equipped with black granite worksurfaces and a dishwasher.
Outside there is a covered terrace with a built-in barbecue, perfect for al-fresco dining. The terrace overlooks the pool and the pretty garden. Around the pool there is a very private sunbathing terrace.
There are plenty of activities; diving and island trips from the Marina, water sports from Playa Romana or the Marina, walking in the Sierra D'Irta or simply enjoying the tranquility of Casa Julia.

Casa Julia is laid-out over one level but in 2 connected parts (there several steps up or down between rooms). You enter through a bright hallway which gives you your first view of the enclosed garden in the middle of the house, from here you go up a few steps to the upper part of the house or down a couple of steps to the lower part of the house.
The upper part of the house contains the master bedroom with its own full en-suite bathroom and the fully equipped kitchen which opens onto the living and dining areas. There is a door from here out to the covered terrace with table and chairs for eight people as well as a built-in barbecue.
The lower part of the house contains 2 further bedrooms (1 twin and 1 double). There is an en-suite shower-room (WC, sink and shower) to the double and there is a further separate shower-room (WC, sink & shower). There is a further covered terrace at this end of the house which gives a partial view of the sea and mountains and is particularly pleasant in the early evening as the sun is setting.
There are 2 cots available for infants. There is no extra charge for the use of these in addition to the capacity of up to 6 adults. Maximum age for infants - 2 years.

Casa Julia is an individually designed detached villa with a very private garden and pool area. If you are visiting with a group, there are lots of seating areas, so if you fancy a bit of peace and quiet you can always find a secluded area in the sun without any trouble.
The pool is warmed by the sun and is surrounded by a non-slip tiled sun-bathing terrace, there is also an outdoor shower next to the pool. The pool is only accessed through lockable patio windows at the side of the covered terrace, so is safe for young children.
The terrace is covered but open on one side overlooking the garden. There is a large patio window on the other side which looks out over the very private pool area, with outside shower and plenty of sunbathing space. As the pool area is only accessed through the lockable patio doors to the side of the covered terrace, Casa Julia remains very child-friendly.
There is ample parking for 2 cars.
Alcocebre is a family orientated village aimed more towards those wishing for a quiet, relaxing holiday with good food and good beaches. The town is within the limits of the Sierra D'Irta National Park, so the buildings are low-rise and the mountains of the park loom behind creating beautiful scenery in all directions.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Costa del Azahar region


The Costa del Azahar has been labelled "The Last True Costa". It has begun to be developed much later than other areas of Spain and thus retains much of its beauty. There are many historical sites nearby, from castles and churches to roman ruins. There are guide books at Casa Julia which tell you much about the local area.
Both Valencia and Barcelona are within easy reach, as is the fascinating and beautiful Ebro Delta.
Drive up into the mountains and you will find ancient, unchanged villages where you can discover fantastic tapas restaurants. For more liveliness, the town of Benicassim is about 30km away which plays host to Spain's answer to Glastonbury every July (17-20th July 2008 www.fiberfib.com). More sunshine, beaches and great music than rain, mud and more rain!
The Alcossebre area
Alcossebre (or Alcocebre) used to be the fishing port for the nearby town of Alcala de Chivert. and although the fishing boats have now left, the old town retains an old Spain feel rather than just being a town for tourists.The village is entirely within the mountainous Sierra D'Irta national park which means there are strict planning restrictions (no high rise buildings) and fabulous views of the mountains and the sea.
Alcocebre's beaches are some of the best to be found anywhere, there are 5 Blue Flag rated beaches within walking distance of the village centre - the largest of which, Playa Cargador is right in front of the old village centre so you can sit enjoying tapas sangria whilst listening to the gentle sound of the Mediterranean.
Despite being further north, Alcocebre enjoys a climate comparable to the Costa Del Sol, so you are almost guaranteed sunshine from May through to October. The rest of the year remains mildand generally sunny so it is a great place to get away from it all.

All tariffs include meet and greet from an easy to find location on the edge of Alcossebre.
All tariffs include the cost of 1 cleaning and linen change. If you require more frequent cleaning or linen changes, this can be arranged for an extra fee. Please ask at time of booking.
A 25% (of total rental cost) deposit is requested at time of booking in order to confirm the reservation. The balance is payable 6 weeks before start of rental.
We require a 150 € security deposit with the final rental payment. This is refunded within 2 weeks of departure once a satisfactory inspection has been carried-out.
We have 2 cots available, so up to 2 toddlers are welcome in addition to the capacity of 6 adults at no extra charge.
