'CASA SMEGSTER' on Palm Beach 2 is a five minute walk to the nearest beach The closest supermarket and restaurant is a five minute drive or a leisurely fifteen minute stroll. Alcossebre boasts many restaurants offering fine local cuisine and, of course Tapas, along with a good selection of many other European choices.

For those wishing not to venture to far from the accommodation, you will find the terrace to the property has a gate leading to a path that leads directly to the pool. You can see your children playing in the pool while enjoying the sun on the terrace. Palm Beach is a gated complex for added safety. This terrace is excellent in the evening furnished with a table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. Ideal accommodation for families and mature couples who like a little extra comfort and luxury while on holiday. We have chosen to present our property as if we were staying there ourselves. You will find a fully equipped kitchen with cupboards full of plates and serving dishes, plenty of bread boards and knives. In the lounge there is the luxury of Satellite TV.

The two main bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe space. Bedroom three is smaller than the other two bedrooms but has a solid pine 7 drawer unit . Airconditioning is provided in the master bedroom and a mobile aircon unit is provided in bedroom 2 and a fan is provided for bedroom 3.

There is an internal stairwell to the roof top terrace. Laundry can be dried here

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Costa del Azahar region

One key point with regards to Alcossebre on the coast of the Costa Del Azahar is its unique position. Most tourists blink and miss it. Most tourists are travelling to Peniscola and totally bypass Alcossebre. Therefore Alcossebre has managed to stay out of the main public eye. Costa Del Azahar region is mainly still undiscovered because of the 70 minutes in either direction to an Airport. Be it Valencia or Reus.

Once you have arrived to the region you can either immerse yourself in History or eat at a different fantastic restaurant every night, experience a different beach every day or just relax at Palm Beach by the pool.

Or for the more adventurous a few minutes by car, from a wide range of tourist attractions and festivals. Its an hour away from Port Ventura theme park (Spain’s Universal Studios), 25 mins Go Karting, 25 mins Marina d’or, 90 mins Valencia Moto GP and the 32nd Valencia Americas Cup, 30 mins Aqua Marina Water Park, 15 mins Morello Adventure Circuit and finally three golf courses within a 30 minute drive

Alcossebre is considered to be the last real Costa, as described in the Times newspaper earlier this year. Boasting five magnificent beaches, over thirty restaurants and an abundance of bars it really is a wonderful holiday destination, something for everyone.

In addition to the impressive 5 Blue Flag beaches, there is the natural beauty of the Maestrat nature reserve to enjoy.

Activities include fishing, diving, horse riding, squash, snorkelling, and Mini Golf. The beaches are equipped with football pitches, volleyball nets and play areas and also offer the opportunity to hire pedlos, windsurfers, scuba diving, jet-skis and sailing all available in season.

Alcossebre is a perfect winter location for the retired. The winter here is very pleasant and wonderfully mild. Between November and March the locals have a rambling club and the over 50’s can join various walks around many nature reserves. So don’t sit at home freezing in from of the fire. Come and meet like minded individuals who will keep you active.

I you were to walk from Palm Beach into the town of Alcossebre then if you were to keep going you would finally arrive at the marina where you would then reach the infamous ‘beach of irregular bottoms’. A walk that would take an hour a very enjoyable walk and is flat all the way.

How to get there

BY PLANE: The closest airports are Valencia - 126 km, Barcelona - 250 km and Reus 130km. Check out the latest deals from Easy Jet and Ryan Air.
We recommend you hire a car I have alwas thought www.premiercarhire.co.uk were very helpful. However if you choose not to drive airport transfers can be arranged, cost for this service will depend on the time of year.

A £250 deposit cheque is required upon booking this will act as a key deposit and a breakage deposit. I will cash this cheque two weeks prior to your holiday. After your cheque has been cashed you will receive keys to the property in the post along with an information pack, directions and a map off how to get to Casa Smegster. Upon your return you will need to post the keys back to me and upon safe receipt of the keys and confirmation from my cleaner that no damage has been made to the property you will receive your deposit back within 7 working days. The information pack is yours to keep.
