Within a small securely gated complex with a communal pool, the Mallorca Atico Penthouse is situated only 150 mtrs. from the Mediterranean Sea, on the third floor in a block of only five apartments. The penthouse is spread over two floors with approx. 140 sq. mtrs. of total living space (extremely spacious for an apartment). Each floor has its own terrace - one with a built in barbecue area - and both terraces have stunning, uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean Sea & Alcossebre coastline. Perfectly located - the Marina and all bars, restaurants, shops and beaches are within minutes easy walking distance . This is a real "home from home" property - not the usual soulless rental apartment!!

Inside a small securely gated complex with a communal pool, the Mallorca Atico Penthouse is a very spacious, three bedroom 'duplex' apartment, situated only approx. 150 meters from the Mediterranean Sea.

Perfectly positioned on the seafront, between the bustling little town of Alcossebre and the marina at Las Fuentes, all five of the areas 'blue flag' beaches, shops, restaurants and bars are within just a few minutes' easy walking distance.

On the third floor in a block of only five apartments, the generous accommodation spans two floors with approx. 140sq mtrs of living space. Each floor has its own terrace and both terraces have stunning, uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean Sea and Alcossebre coastline.

On entering the penthouse you walk into a bright and spacious living/dining area, with comfortable seating for six people, English Satellite TV and an open fireplace. The dining area has a table with chairs and comfortably seats six people. From the living/dining area double patio doors lead out onto the large lower terrace.

The lower terrace is furnished with a large table and six chairs and also benefits from a built in barbecue area, making it excellent for dining outside. This terrace is also partially covered by the upper floor, which makes it a comfortable place to sit and relax out of the glare of the sun, while enjoying the beautiful view of the sea and watching the world go by below you.

Back inside, leading off the living/dining area there is a large, separate well equipped kitchen. With a ceramic electric hob, oven, kettle, microwave, toaster and fridge/freezer all your catering needs are taken care of. A washing machine, iron and ironing board are also provided in the kitchen, eliminating the need for you to pack and carry excessive amounts of clothing.

One of the twin bedrooms is also situated on the first floor, with a built in double wardrobe with drawers and patio doors which also step out onto the lower terrace. The first floor also houses the bathroom, with a bath and overhead shower, washbasin, bidet & WC.

Two short flights of stairs take you up to the second floor, which has its own shower room with an enclosed shower, washbasin & WC.

The remaining bedrooms, one double and one twin, are also on this floor and both have built in double wardrobes with drawers and patio doors which lead out on to the upper terrace.

The upper terrace has a variety of uses... the two sun loungers make this an ideal place for sunbathing in privacy. You could also make use of the table and two chairs for some 'quiet' time or a peaceful evening drink watching the sun set over the sea. (It's also an ideal place for drying the washing.)

This is a real 'home from home' property and NOT the usual 'soulless' rental apartment.

Outside the apartment, the regularly maintained communal pool and gardens are within a securely gated area. Plenty of car parking spaces are available in the areas around the complex.

Children are welcome (cot available), but pets are not allowed inside the complex.

Further details outdoors

Situated on the Paseo Maritima between Alcossebre and the marina at Las Fuentes on the 'Orange Blossom Coast' in the Castellon region, just an hours drive north of Valencia, and an hours drive south from Reus (Barcelona) airports. Only ten minutes walk away from the Sierra de Irta national park, which has public footpaths to take you through the park. There are also five 'blue flag' beaches along the coastline, with trampolining & volleyball in the summer. For the evenings, there are plenty of quiet bars & restaurants within close proximity. The bustling little towns facilities include, shops, banks, tourist information centre and internet cafes. In neighbouring Benicassim there is a large splash park ideal for the children. Two 18 hole golf courses are within 40 minutes drive from the town. A large Go-Karting track is situated on the outskirts of Peniscola just 10 minutes way from Alcossebre.

The Valenciana region

Costa Azahar - The "Orange-Blossom-Coast", in the north of Valencia, not only offers great beaches but also beautiful towns such as Peñiscola with its great medieval castle or Oropesa, which conserves the 16th century Tower of the King, erected as a defense against pirates. A true pearl is the enchanting Morella with its narrow lanes, enclosed by 14th century walls.

Monuments and places of interest: The Concatedral Cathedral, Fadri and the Observatory (Castellón), Museum of Contemporary Art (Vilafames), Papa Luna castle (Peníscola), Benicassim villa, the King tower and Oropesa castle, the castle and walls of Morella, the Orange Museum (Burriana), the Roman arch (Cabanes) and the Ceramics Museum (Alcora)

Beaches: Benicassim, Castello-Grao, Alcossebre, Peniscola, Oropesa, Torreblanca, Benicarló y Vinarós.

Festivities: San Antonio (17th of January) in Benicassim, Vinarós carnivals, Magdalena (Castellón, March), San Juan (24th of June), Oropesa fiestas (25th of July), Santo Tomás (22nd of September) in Benicassim, 9th of October and Peníscola fiestas (7th to 16th of October).

Location: The Castellón coast is located on the east side of Spain. Castellón is the capital of the province and lies 65km north of Valencia, 414 km east of Madrid and 214 km south of Barcelona

The climate in this area of Spain averages around 30 centigrade in the summer months and around 18 centigrade in the winter.


The proximity to the sea and the mountains is what characterises Alcoceber, a municipality that has as standard, its high steeple, its old quarter, and a coastal area called Las Fuentes. Ten kilometres of beaches and coves can be contemplated from the splendid viewpoints offered by the mountains, with the natural resort Sierra d´Irta as a background setting. Continuous contrasts located in a rich landscape.

The natural resort, Sierra de Irta is an excellent natural sport area in which to practice trekking, as it rewards its visitors with excellent views, and is only a ten minute walk from the Penthouse. There are also diverse monuments to visit like “Font de la Parra”. The vegetation is rich and varied, with varieties of vegetation that have made it worthy of protection for its ecological importance. Rosemary, Lavender, Thyme and other aromatic plants offer their bouquet to passing visitors. Arbutus, Junipers, Camomile and Rock Tea appear along countless marked routes. From the sand at Las Fuentes beach, emerge sources of fresh water, while the coastline makes dunes along the unique Carregador and Romana beaches, which boast a surface area of 6.000 square meters.

The municipality however does offer other alternatives: a port and a sports centre that offers diving, gives visitors the chance to practice nautical sports such as sailing or scuba diving, and to discover, for example, the Columbrete Islands which are a natural park. There is also a sports club with tennis courts, swimming pool, and other recreational facilities such as both indoor and outdoor football.

Templario Castle is well positioned high up in the Sierra de Irta, dominating the plains and the sea. The site has been used as a settlement from as far back as several centuries before Christ. Its structure and functionality have varied along with the passing cultures, but there remain two well differentiated parts that can be observed: Arabic and the Christian, which can be seen in the Muslim domestic architecture and the Templar fortress, and at the highest point, where the chapel once was.

The Mallorca II apartments are ideally situated on the seafront inbetween Las Fuentas Marina and the town of Alcossebre, therefore all the bars, restaurants, supermarkets and the areas five ‘blue flag’ beaches are all within easy walking distance.

"Wonderful sea views, plenty of space, great location."

A spacious flat - we were a family of two adults and two children (6&4yrs) plus an aunt - with ample eating space both inside and outdoors on the balcony. Swimming pool lovely with grass area also good for children. Comfortable walking distance to shops and restaurants. Great jogging route up to lighthouse along coast.
