The Algarve / Central Algarve region
Visitors come to the algarve for the weather which is good most of the year and its fantastic beaches which run all along the algarve.The nightlife is another reason that people flock to portugal and the golf courses are all championship class. The town of albufeira is best known for its bars and restaurants but it has some of the best beaches in portugal Then there is the moors influence in its buidings and churches you can visit the roman ruins in vilamoura.
Alcantarilha / Pera Silves area
The world famous Zoo Marine with its interactive dolphins and water slides is a 5 minute drive from the house. Every year there is a sand festival held in pera which is 1.5 kms away and artists from all over the world arrive to create these sculptures and designs it opens every june and closes october.There are two golf courses within a 5 minute drive and one runs along side salgados beach all championship class. The beach of quinta de torre armacao de pera is the longest in portugal streching over 5 kms and is white sand. The town of armacao de pera has two sides one being the typical cobbled streets and typical portuguese with fish restaurants and bars .Then the modern part with newly built apartments and villas giving a nice cosmopolitain feeling all just moments away by car.The marina of albufeira has daily boat trips for fishing dolphin watching or the thrill seeking speed boat rides and cave boating.
