Quinta da Altura, means "tops of the hill", and on the top you’ll find your villa. It is set amidst 6.000 sq.m of orange orchard, fig and olive trees. With no close neighbors, it's very private. Sit by your pool and enjoy the wonderful views to the east and west over the coastal plain, and the south to the sea, and to the north, the mountains of Monchique. The Villa is just a short distance from the Moorish town of Silves, which has a good selection of shops, supermarkets, restaurants, traditional cuisine, and bistros/cafes. Just a 10 mins drive to the beach, golf, water parks, other sports and tourist attractions, Villa Quinta da Altura, is centrally located for all the region has to offer. The Villa sleeps 6 and consists of 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedrooms. The villa is maintained by the owners who live near by and are available when needed.
A baby sitting service is also available. There is a free starter food pack provided on your arrival. Children are welcome. A cot and high chair are available for babies and infants. The area is ideal for them, with lots of countryside and many amenities in the area, such as waterslide parks, fairground rides and the beach.

The Algarve region
The Portuguese Algarve is the perfect family holiday destination with a wealth of choice to entertain everybody. From Europe's premier golf courses, to weekly markets and shops to water parks that are bound to entertain the children. With temperatures approaching 25C during the summer, and around 15 during the winter months.
Alcantarilha area
Golfers are spoilt for choice. This is Europe's Foremost golfing destinations, At the last count there were 21 golf complexes along the Algarve, the nearest one the new 5 Star Pestana Silves Golf Course (3 miles).Armação de Pêra is the nearest coastal resort with a beautiful beaches. It is just 10 mins car drive away and there are restaurants, bars, and shops. Boat hire for caves and grottos can be arranged here. There is also a local weekly market. The Praia Grande beach and nature reserve is in between Armação de Pêra and Galé. It has a beautiful long stretch of unspoilt coastline. With a natural lagoon and marshes, it is an ideal spot to watch Flamingos and other water fowl.
The Villa is half a mile from the Village of Alcantarilha-Gare, where you will find a minimarket and small restaurant. The main Village of Alcantarilha, 3 miles further on, has several restaurants and bars, and a church. There are numerous banks and automated cash machines available throughout the local region. UK debit cards are accepted at most ATM', for the purposes of withdrawing from UK Bank accounts in Euros. The nearest shopping centre is a 15 mins, containing a large supermarket, multiplex cinema, bowling alley and fast food hall. Boat hire and other sports activities are available in most coastal towns of the region. Nearby are horse-riding, karting, golf, tennis and several water parks, and Zoo marine. Portimão and Albufeira are 20 minutes drive away, and have many shops and other amenities. There is no excuse for not eating well on this holiday. You can enjoy the local fish specialties or chicken piri-piri ate the restaurants, or relax at home and self cater. The kitchen has all you need, and are plenty shops nearby, and supermarkets in Silves and Guia, with excellent parking. You can buy fresh fruit and vegetables from local farms or fish from the market.
How to get there
Faro Airport a 45 away minutes. Car hire is essential and can be arranged for collection from the airport. Lisbon airport is approx 2hrs 30 mins drive away via motorway. both airports serviced by scheduled and budget airlines.

It is 33 feet long and has a sun terrace with a collection of pool furniture around it. Children must always be supervised around pool area. Extra towels are provided for use at the poolside and on the beach. Bathroom towels must not be taken out.
