The Villa Casa Do Sol is set in a rural area offering some peace and quiet:, at the same time having excellent access to sandy beaches, Golf courses , shopping centres, markets etc.
It is just outside Alcantarhilia, a small Portuguese town full of 'olde worlde' charm, with family run cafes, shops and super helful post office.Ideal .

The Villa benefits from its own private pool, set in a well established garden, with parking space inside the grounds. Plenty of privacy and safety for the children

The lounge opens onto the spacious covered veranda, with large table and chairs to enjoy your meals, while looking out over the beautiful countryside and the sparkling pool. In the evening, the starry skies provide a totally different atmosphere. With one double and one twin bedroom, the villa is ideal for couples or small families, remembering there is plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

The Villa benefits from hot and cold air conditioning, and a fully equipped outside Laundry room.
Jose our older Portuguese gardener is a great character and gets on well all who have visited, so if you have learnt any of the language a great chance to try out your linguistic skils.

Cecilia who manages the property lives in Silves. She,provides a small hospitality pack and can answer any queries.

Algarve, is one of Europe's sunniest spots : with an average temperature of 22c It is often known as tthe a unique jewel of Portugal where the finest beaches and weather on the continent meet traditional historic

The Algarve has some of the best Golf Courses in Europe, a real Golfers paradise.
Along with Golf are the numerous long sandy beaches with numerous water sports.

There are Water Parks,Zoos, Shopping Centres, Markets, historical buildings througout this captivating Region

Alcantarilha / Pera Silves area

Alcantarilha a small Portuguese town full of 'olde worlde' charm. There is a mini market, occasional fish and fruit market, post office and small selection of good value local restaurants serving faboulous Sardines, ~(in season) and of course the local Portuguese church.. Alcantarilha lies just 4kms from the bustling resort of Armacao de Pera, and is close to a selection of the finest beaches on the Algarve, and the the Mountains of Monchique .

The area around Alcantarilha have some of the most interesting potteries, some providing a light lunch or tea in the gardens.

From May to Sept there is the Interntaionlal Sand Sculptures festival,. the theme varies each year.and features a massive display by various by sand sculptors from across the globe . and this is just just minutes from the Villa -Casa Do Sol.

The Historic town of Silves. is just 20 mins away, visit the Castle, the Cathedral, the new library, and wonder round the cobbled streets and then relax at one of the Cafes.

In Guia town sample the famous Peri Peri chicken, then also pop over to the New Shopping Centre for retail therapy.

Also close by is the The birdhaven called Lagoa dos Salgados at Praia Grande .

Not forgetting that just outside Alcantarilha is Aqualand, a giant water park , and a few kilometrs on you will find Zoomarine, part zoo and part theme park.

Although Casa Do Sol is in a Rural setting it has Tarmac road access.

How to get there

:Flying to to Faro - Our Villa- Casa do Sol is just 45 mins drive from the airport on good roads all the way.
:Cheap flights available from Easyjet., Monarch and BA.
:Car hire available form numerous websites, and pick up can be from the airport or just minutes away.
:There are always local taxis available - fare should be no more than 35 euros.

Inside the Villa, with the cool tiled floors, and Portuguese chandeliers, some distinctive furniture you will immediaty feel that you can relax.

There is otptional airconditioning, all rooms have fans.

All rooms can be locked

The Kitchen is fully equipped.

Further details outdoors:
· The Villa is set in a beautiful established garden with Orange, lemon and Apricot trees.
·There is a separate area for BBQ cooking. Also lovely tiled seating to relax with a drink without letting the food burn.
·The Pool terrace also has a shower. Toilet room.
·The Surrounds of the Pool provide the option of sunbathing or shade
·At the back of the Villa is a large area for drying clothes
At the side of the Villa are a laundry room, housing washing and drying machine and small pool fridge.

Conditions

Due to Timber in the Villa structure, as well as health !, No Smoking is allowed.

Sorry no pets.

A refundable Breakage deposit of £75 is required.

Airconditioning 100 euros a week, oprional on arrival. All rooms have fans.

50 % of the booking to be paid for confirmtaion of booking, the balance due 2 weeks prior to your holiday.
Booking Guidelines are sent with the Reservtion Form.

Change over days are usually Saturday but can be flexible if bookings allow.

Cecila Crocker manages the property and lives in Silves. So any problems or advice is readlily on hand.

Just a quick thank you to both you and Cecilia, for a superb holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the facilites of your villa, especially the pool which we seemed to be in 5 times a day !!

We also enjoyed the fact that we were so handy for routes to lots of places which we wished to visit, so all in all, it was a highly successful visit.

We hope that we may have the opportunity of coming again sometime in the future.

We had another fantastic holiday in your Villa. The boys thoroughly enjoyed the pool, and Aidan was really pleased to receive a birthday present.

It was lovely to see Cecilia and Norman again, who certainly do you credit, showing genuine commitment to an enjoyable holiday. Even when there was the threat of bad weather, and possible power cuts, additional DVD's and emergency lighting was provided - far exceeding any expectations.

The Villa was even better than we had remembered, and we loved the new Sofas.

Looking forward to paying another visit next year.
