Nestled in the coastal hills of Alcaidesa, at the western side of the Costa del Sol, this property is one of a small number of apartments in the exclusive community of Alcaidesa Village. It is bright and spacious, using top quality materials with marble flooring, offering superb comfort and relaxation.
With fabulous views, extensive terrace and private, paved garden, it is ideal for outside living. Because of the location, it is the perfect gateway to many places of interest, beaches, golf and shopping. So visiting the many well known Andalucian "White Villages" e.g. Casares or Benahavis; or the famous Costa del Sol towns e.g. Marbella or Puerto Banus; or golf either very locally or close by, travelling is very easy.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
There is much to do and many places to visit in this ‘not so typical’ Costa coast. The unspoilt and rugged terrain just adds to its beauty. In Jerez, visit one of the many sherry and brandy bodegas and Andalucian horses in the Royal School of Equestrian Art; notice the cork trees and storks nesting along the way.
Mix with the rich and famous in the Puerto Banus marina, with 100 plus restaurants, or hustle and bustle in the Duquesa marina. In Tarifa, whale and dolphin watch or windsurf and water sports. Spend a day at Bahia Water Park in Algeciras or visit the famous Barbary Apes in Gibraltar. Catch a ferry, and pop over to Africa, or drive to the city of Sevilla for a great day sightseeing, finishing with Flamenco.
Just an 80 min drive to the historic town of Ronda, with restaurants overlooking the famous Ronda gorge, El Tajo. For all who shop, Marbella, Puerto Banus and La Canada mall are a must. Then there are the numerous golf courses in the area; the links of Alcaidesa or the famous Valderrama. A great Mediterranean holiday - something for everyone. All info in the property.
Alcaidesa / La Alcaidesa Golf area
A prestigious private, secure community with underground parking and access via lift or stairs and buzzer system to apartment. No animals and please smoke only on the terrace. A valuables safe is available in the master bedroom. Welcome packs available, either ‘the basics’, or a full shop. Just tell us (payable locally). Excellent cold and warm air-conditioning/heating throughout the property.
A 5 min walk downhill, is the spectacular 4kms of blue flag beach, with amazing views of Gibraltar and the bay of La Linea. The beach is very sandy and safe for children. In the summer months, the beach bars are open for drinks, snacks and the chiringuito serves great BBQ food, with beds and shades for hire, all at very reasonable prices. Water sports and beach games are available. There are several small bays along the coast all within a 10-20 min drive.
Golfers Paradise! Within a 30 minute drive are some 25 golf courses including very locally: Alcaidesa Golf - the only 18 hole Links Course in southern Spain, designed by Peter Alliss. Recently opened is a 2nd 18 hole course, Heathlands designed by Dave Thomas. Both are only a 2 min drive away as is the fabulous new club house.
Golf at La Canada and San Roque is a 5 min drive. Golf at Almenara, Sotogrande, La Reserva and Valderrama is a 10 min drive. Golf at Duquesa, designed by Robert Trent Jones Snr is a 15 min drive. Golf at Finca Cortesin, Casares, is a 20 min drive. Finca Cortesin is hosting the Volvo Match Play tournament in 2009. All our guests will have the benefit of discount golf at both the Alcaidesa Links and Heathlands courses. All the golf clubs make players and non-players welcomed for drinks and meals.
How to get there
There are 3 airports, Gibraltar 15 min drive, Jerez 1 hour drive, or Malaga 1 hour drive. Each served by a low cost airline from all UK airports. If flying into Gibraltar, the border into Spain is much more relaxed, and being a small airport, is very efficient and speedy. Car hire is advisory, which we can arrange for you. There are maps and information at your disposal.

Further details indoors: Master bedroom has a super king size bed, fully fitted wardrobes, with valuables safe. Great views of the Mediterranean Sea. Bedroom 2 has two large single beds and a private terrace. Both bedrooms are spacious and delightfully furnished, with manual operating shutters.
En-suite to master bedroom with shower, hydro massage bath, double hand basins, bidet and WC. Large wall mirror over basins and well lit. Family bathroom with bath, shower, single basin, bidet and WC. Large wall mirror over basin and well lit.
Very bright and spacious lounge with panoramic views over the sea. The lounge consists of 1 double sofa and one x 4 seater sofabed. Satellite TV with British channels, cassette / CD player. Delightfully furnished with electrically operated shutters.
The dining area contains a lovely glass table which is very Spanish and 6 comfortable chairs.
Further details outdoors: The large patio doors, from the lounge and master bedroom, lead to the spacious furnished terrace and garden. Use of sun loungers is a must, as is eating alfresco, or just watch the sun rise! The terrace, by lunchtime is in full shade, but not so on the garden. From the garden gate there is direct access to the fabulous communal swimming pool and gardens, with breathtaking views of Gibraltar and North Africa. Within the garden area are showers, toilets and a tennis paddle court. Please note that the swimming pool is officially open from mid-June to mid-September but the opening times are currently under review to extend the season.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful holiday in this most superbly decorated and appointed apartment. There was everything we could possibly have wanted with the best accommodation, views over the sea, weather, beaches, golf and shopping. Most surprisingly, the local restaurants were some of the best we have eaten in and we have travelled extensively. This resort and property come with our highest recommendation.
