Home description

Our holiday home is part of the exclusive Green Valley development of just 42 properties which have been built frontline to the new Heathland golf course designed by Dave Thomas and will compliment the existing Alcaidesa links course which offers stunning views of the Rock of Gibraltar and the coast of North Africa. Within 10 minutes drive are the famous golf courses of Valderrama, San Roque and Sotogrande.

The coastline averages 320 days of sunshine and Alcaidesa is blessed with 4km of blue flag beach ideal to spend your time relaxing with a cold beer.

The location of Alcaidesa provides an excellent base for venturing inland with Cadiz, Sevilla and Granada all within driving distance. A drive of 2.5hrs will take you to the Sierra Nevada mountains which has its own ski resorts, what could be better, waking up to blue skies and the sea in the morning and go skiing in the afternoon (dependant on the time of year). The well known resorts of Puerto Banus, Marbella and Estepona are all within 20-30 minutes drive away and of course Gibraltar is only 10-15 minutes drive away for your duty free shopping.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

The Costa del Sol is an exceptional stretch of coast line which lies at the southern end of Spain. With over 320 days of sunshine it is an all year destination offering something for everyone.


Alcaidesa / Green Valley area

Alcaidesa lies at the western end of the Costa del Sol and is relatively underdeveloped compared to the rest of the coast due to strict planning guidelines. The area has a rugged landscape which offers spectacular views across the Mediterranean. The activities nearby are numerous, with golf,horse riding and wind sports just to name a few, and don't forget the blue flag beach of Alcaidesa for those lazy days.

Alcaidesa is well known for its links golf course and has now been joined by the new Heathland course. The new clubhouse will provide excellent facilities for both courses including a driving range and a golf school and is just a 5 minute walk away. The golf courses of Valderrama, San Roque and Sotogrande are all within 5-10 minutes drive making this area one of the best in Europe for golf.

San Roque, Sotogrande and Estepona all provide excellent equestrian facilities, while Tariffa offers the best location for any type of wind sport.

The resorts of Puerto Banus, Marbella, Estepona and Sotogrande all offer many bars and restaurants, plenty enough to keep the night owls going. Puerto Banus and Sotogrande are renowned for their sophisticated bars and restaurants set around their stunning marinas.

La Linea is a 10 minute drive towards Gibraltar, here you will find typical spanish restaurants and tapas bars. There are a good selection of shops and a market day normally every Wednesday morning. Gibraltar gives you the chance to do a spot of duty free shopping and whilst there a tour of the Rock is a must.

Further afield Seville, Granada can be reached in approx 2 hours drive with the Sierra Nevada mountains around 2.5 hours drive away. Ronda, Cadiz, Jerez and Tariffa are all within approx 1 hours drive.

As you can see our house provides a perfect base to get the most from your holiday whatever you choose to do.

By Air: There are several budget airlines that fly regularly into Malaga from most UK and European airports. Alternatively there are flights into Jerez and Gibraltar. A good site for Spanish airport information is www.spanish-airport-guide.com
Malaga and Jerez airports are approximately 1 hours drive away with Gibrilatar airport about 20 minutes away.

Car Hire: As car hire is essential it is advisable to pre book. The internet offers many sites where you can see discounted offers from muliple car hire companies, it is just a matter of getting the best possible deal to suit your needs.

Modern spacious 2 bed townhouse. Both bedrooms are bright and airy each having their own en suite. French doors open on to a juliet balcony giving stunning views to the front and rear . The master bedroom en suite consists of a dressing area with 2 sinks set in a marble top, the bathroom has a toilet, large shower enclosure and bath. Bedroom 2 en suite consists of a single sink set in a marble top, toilet and shower enclosure. The house can comfortably sleep 4, with 4 single beds. There is a fold up single bed and a single sofa bed should they be required.
A unique feature of these townhouses is a sky light which extends down from the solarium level opening out above the dining table.
Downstairs there is a split level open plan dining area and lounge, with french doors from the lounge opening on to the rear private garden with views across the golf course.
There is a separate fully fitted kitchen and downstairs wc.

Conditions

We require a refundable breakages deposit of £150.00 which is payable with the balance. This will be returned within 14 days of your departure subject to our property managers satisfactory inspection.
We operate a cancellation policy which is as follows:
The deposit of £100.00 is non re-fundable
Cancellation with 8 weeks or more to departure full refund of balance
4-8 weeks to departure 50% refund of balance
2-4 weeks to departure 25% refund of balance
less than 2 weeks to departure no refund

*Please note that inside the property it is strictly no smoking
