This pretty 3 bedroom Portuguese style villa gives the most welcoming feeling immediately on entering the gardens. It is perfectly located a few kilometres west of Albufeira, near to Castelo and Evaristo beaches. It is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in its own private garden which contains a good sized pool surrounded by lawn and borders of shrubs and flowers. There is a shaded area with a barbecue and stone table and chairs ideal for al fresco dining.
The accommodation itself is cool, spacious and well equipped. It has retained its original charm with modern additions such as a new kitchen and refurbished bathrooms. It sleeps 6-8 people. There is a sofa bed in the area just outside the main double bedroom which would be good for children.
Beaches and restaurants are within easy walking distance – the beautiful coves of Castelo and Evaristo being less than 10 minutes. Most of the restaurants in the immediate area are excellent.
If you want some relative peace and quiet, near to beaches and restaurants, but also to be within easy reach of Albufeira for something more lively when the mood takes you then this is the ideal place.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve is one of the sunniest places in Europe, with over 3,000 sunshine hours per year. The summers can be hot, but there is usually a refreshing breeze by the coast. Spring and Autumn is an ideal time for outdoor pursuits, such as golfing, biking, walking. The winters are mild and very often sunny, but do expect a few rainy days any time between October and March.
The Atlantic coastline offers a spectacular variation of scenery from dramatic limestone cliff formations surrounding tiny coves, to long, flat, sandy beaches ideal and safe for family holidays.
Go inland, and the mountains of Monchique provide a totally different viewpoint (and on some days a totally different climate) to the coastal areas. The terrain here makes it ideal for all types of activities, from off–road biking, hiking and quad biking to walking and simply enjoying the spectacular scenery.
The western facing side of the Algarve is certainly worth a visit. The beaches are beautiful and clean and the scenery fantastic – but be prepared for more wind and colder water! A favourite spot for windsurfers.
Go east of Faro and you will find the Ria Formosa, a protected part of the coast cut off from the sea by sand–spits, forming large areas of marshlands and lagoons teeming with wildlife.
Further east beyond Tavira the coast runs off towards Spain with mile after mile of Golden flat sand.
Albufeira / Sesmarias Albufeira area
In the immediate area, you have a fantastic choice of beaches and coves. Castelo and Evaristo being the nearest, at less than a 10 minute walk. Gale, a beautiful long sandy beach stretching a few kilometres is about 20 minutes on foot, or just a few minutes by car - this is a fantastic spot to watch the breathtaking sunsets, it is good for swimming and for the energetic a good beach walk. The rest are no more than a 5 minute drive – to name a few, São Rafãel, Lourenço and Coelha. There are many coves scattered along this part of the coast, some only accessible by foot.
Within easy walking distance there is a choice of good restaurants ranging from traditional Portuguese to Indian and Chinese.
There is a crazy golf course less than a 5 minute walk away, where you will also find a bar/restaurant, swimming pool and large screens to watch sport, soaps, etc. so something to amuse the whole family.
Less than 10 minutes by car is Albufeira Old Town which has a never-ending choice of restaurants and bars, a beautiful long sandy beach, live music venues, the Square which in the summer months hosts a lot of traditional entertainment, an abundance of shops and altogether a great atmosphere. It offers something for both young and old. Just a bit further on and you will come to the "Strip" where you can party until the early hours of the morning.
For the golfers in your party Salgados (an 18 hole links course) is a few minutes drive. Many others, such as the 5 award winning courses of Vilamoura, Vale de Milho, Gramacho and Penina, are no more than a 30 minute drive. In addition, the new course designed by Nick Faldo, Amendoeira is about 15 minutes.
Many water parks are within easy reach - Aqualand, Zoomarine (where you can swim with the Dolphins), Slide and Splash, Aqua Show, Atlantic Park. If you haven't got a car, then buses will pick you up from a point a few minutes walk from the house.
There are numerous outdoor activities available an easy car ride away - water sports, tennis, horse riding, biking and much more. For those of you who like walking then there are cliff top walks and beach walks.
How to get there
The nearest airport is Faro which is about 40km from the villa. Many budget airlines fly there, e.g. Easyjet, Monarch, Ryanair, FlyGlobespan, Jet2 and more. British Airways also fly direct to Faro from Gatwick. To compare prices look at www.skyscanner.net.
Airport transfers and car hire can be arranged if required.
There is also a good train service to and from Lisbon if you are planning a 2 centre holiday.

Further details indoors: There are 3 bedrooms - the 2 twins are located on the ground floor, both with patio doors leading to the garden. The double en suite is located on the first floor. This has patio doors leading to a large terrace with looking over the pool and garden. There is a sofa bed located on the 1st floor landing which is fine for children. There are 2 cots and 2 high chairs provided. The lounge leads out onto the terrace surrounding the pool. There is a separate dining area with an added feature of a cupola ceiling. The kitchen is spacious and fully equipped. There is a separate laundry room. There is one fully bathroom on the ground floor and 1 cloakroom. The double bedroom has an en suite shower room.
Further details outdoors: The pretty gardens surround the house. There is a good sized kidney shaped pool. There is a brick built barbecue to the side of the pool area. The first floor bedroom has a large balcony overlooking the pool and garden and further up you will come to the roof top terrace.

Maid service is once a week. Linen and towels are provided and are changed once a week. Guests are asked to bring their own pool/beach towels.
