The Algarve / Central Algarve region

The Algarve has a temperate climate almost all year round and boasts over 300 days of sunshine a year. The tourist season extends from March to October and it only really quiets down in the dead of winter. Even then, there are many days when it is warm and sunny enough to sunbathe or sit outside at the pavement cafes and enjoy the balmy weather. The golf season extends from autumn through to spring and golfers can enjoy the warm sunny conditions whilst their own courses at home are unplayable. In summer they can receive discounted green fees at many courses.

The Albufeira / Encosta da Orada area

Location
The complex is on the western side of Albufeira, close to the Dolphin Roundabout on the hill between the Albufeira Marina and the Old Town. It is an 8 – 10 minute walk to each. The nearest restaurants, bars and convenience stores are in Pateo, 3 minutes walk away. The Giro circular bus and ‘tourist train’ both pass nearby at regular intervals. The Albufeira Old Town is a vibrant hub of restaurants, bars, interesting shops, street stalls, musicians and entertainers.

Beaches
Some of the best sandy beaches in the Algarve are nearby, such as Fisherman’s Beach, Peneco, Gale, Sao Rafael, Castelo, Evaristo, Salgados and more.

Golf
The Central Algarve has some of the finest golf courses in Portugal, including Salgados golf course just a 5 minute drive away; Balaia and Pine Cliffs golf courses which are 15 minutes drive and the 6 championship golf courses of Vilamoura at 20 minutes away.

“Stunning” Absolutely Stunning!! Beautiful modern appartment. Lovely pool and gardens. Breathtaking views from the balcony. Backed up by good service from Algarve Getaways. What more can I say !

“a superb flat in a great location with a fabulous sea view from the balcony.” The flat was very clean, comfortable and well-equipped, and the decor was stylish and modern. The balcony is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the wonderful sea view. The communal garden area and swimming pool are extremely attractive and well-maintained. Albufiera is a lively town with many interesting sights to see and good places to eat, as well as a fabulous beach. We particularly enjoyed browsing around all the shops for clothes and gifts to take home.

“5 Star Relaxation!” Apartment was lovely, spotless and had everything we needed including a parasol for beside the pool. There are no facilities on site other than the pools and loungers but this did not bother us as we just wanted to relax during the day. The view from our balcony was fabulous both day and night however although it was south facing it didnt get the sun at any time of day. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend these apartments and would stay again although they are not really suitable for older children as there is nothing for them to do other than the pool. You should be aware the walk into and out of town is very steep although if you dont want to walk there are plenty of taxis available.

Perfect! The apartment was even better than I thought it would be. Pool and grounds were clean and well maintained and there were always beds available near the pool when we needed them. We had a wonderful month in Albufeira. We just sat back and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and wonderful warm weather. Did not want to return home.
