About the home

This beautiful, fully air conditioned villa is situated in Vala de Parra just 1.8km from the Blue Flag beaches of Galé’ There are numerous fine restaurants, shops and a supermarket within walking distance of the villa whilst the old town of Albufeira just a ten minute drive away. In addition the Algarve shopping mole is just 6km away near the pretty little village of Guia with the Golf course of Salgados just 2.9Km away. Aquatic Parks, Zoomarine and the Albufeira Marina are also just a short drive away. The villa benefits from distant sea views.

The accommodation is on two levels and consists, on the ground floor of entrance hallway leading to a stunning, circular lounge / dining room with feature wood-burning stove and a bar. Full length picture windows with sliding patio doors to the grounds, add to the splendour of this room. Entertainment is provided here with a Satellite TV (Channels include BBC & ITV), a DVD Player and a Hi-Fi System. There is also an I-pod docking station. The separate fitted kitchen is equipped with modern appliances including a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave oven, fridge-freezer, oven and hob. On the ground floor there is a twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom and patio doors to the gardens with two further twin bedrooms that share a family bathroom and a separate Guest Cloakroom/ WC. All three bathrooms benefit from additional ‘walk-in’ shower cubicles. Stairs from the hallway lead up to the first floor landing where there is the Master suite comprising of a double bedroom with en-suite shower room with ‘walk-in’ shower and access to a private balcony. The villa is tastefully furnished throughout to a high standard and benefits a Wi-Fi for Internet access. Full air-conditioning is available with an extra charge for running costs. Security is provided by an alarm system, window bars and a high wall that surrounds the property. Smoking is not permitted within the villa.

Outside patio doors give access to lush landscaped gardens and sun terraces surround the lovely 8m x 4m heated kidney shaped pool which has roman steps for easy access. There is a open air poolside shower, sun beds and parasols to soak up the sun. External stairs lead to a roof top solarium. Patio furniture and a brick built Barbecue with solid stone seating are provided for you to enjoy true ‘Alfresco’ dining. The villa offers good privacy in an enclosed plot. The mature garden contains shrubs, flower borders, palm trees and lawns. Being conveniently located within walking distance of the nearest shops and restaurants Villa Oliveiras is ideal for couples and families seeking a quiet relaxing holiday.

The Albufeira / Vale de Parra area

Solmar Villas are pleased to offer a selection of villas in Albufeira in Portugal. Albufeira started as a small fishing village is now one of the most well-known holiday resorts on the Algarve. It still holds some of its old charm in the narrow streets and white washed houses in the “old town”, being more traditional with the square, to sit and watch the world pass by and the small bistros and cafes. The “Strip” is in the “new town” of Albufeira, this is where the action happens, and this is more up-dated, modernised area of the town. There are bars, night clubs, hotels and a lot of activities. There is plenty to do for people of all ages.

Albufeira is 40 km west of Faro Airport.

Beaches
There are over 21 beaches in the Albufeira area. With the fine sand and beautiful turquoise sea. All of the beaches are safe; most of them have tourist or sports facilities on them.

Gale: Stretches for miles, between cliffs, has a wide variety of tourist facilities.
Castelo: A small cove with natural beauty.
Coelha: A small beach between cliffs.
Sao Rafael and Vigia: Situated between great rock formations, has tourist facilities.
Baleeira: a Broad crescent of sand opposite Albufeira.
Albufeira Beach: Long strip along the city, it has three beaches (peneco, Pescadores and inatel)
Oura, Balaia, Maria Luisa and Olhos de Agua: a series of beaches surrounded by cliffs with tourist and sports facilities.
Falesia: endless miles of beach surrounded by cliffs with tourist and sports facilities

Markets in Albufeira
At the markets you can get anything from a light bulb to clothes and shoes. There is a Gipsy market held near the Municipal Canteen on the Third Saturday of the month. There is a market in Albufeira, Calicos on the First and Third Tuesday of the month, a market in Guia on the Third Friday of the month and a market at Paderne on the First Saturday of the month.

Golf
There are 3 golf courses near Albufeira, Salgados; this is the symbol of Portuguese golf, testing your skills to the max. It is situated close to the sea, with many lakes, and the sea breeze to interfere your shot. www.salgadosgolf.com. Night life
The main place for night life in Albufeira is along “The Strip”, this is over 3km of bars, restaurants, shops and night-clubs. The strip is not only down one main road, but also leads down some of the back streets, where some of the best bars are hidden. This is the most popular place in Albufeira. A few km out of town, on the way to villamoura, there is a nightclub called Kadoc; it has 5 dance floors and houses over 7000 people. There is also another big nightclub just out of the town, this has 3 dance floors and plays a large variety of music.

If you like something more up-market and quieter there are some nice bars and bistros in the pedestrianised area of the town and also some lovely little bars and restaurants in the old town.

This is a large water park 15km from Albufeira. This water park has rides and attractions for everyone, those who enjoy the thrill and excitement of racing up and down the slides and flumes and those who enjoy relaxing and soaking up the sun.

Krazy World – www.krazyworld.com
This Fun Park is just west of Albufeira in the town of Algoz. It is a fun park for adults and kids. There is Pony rides, petting farm, live shows with crocodiles, mini-golf, bouncy castles and a pool to relax by.

Slide and Splash – www.slidesplash.com
This park is located in Lagoa; about 30min drive from Albufeira. Another water park, with rides for children and adults of all ages, a leisure area and food and drink facilities.

Zoo Marine – This is a Dolphinarium, located in Guia, 15 minutes from Albufeira. The park focuses on education and awareness of marine life. They have shows, entertainment; you can see the animals in the aquarium. There is also the opportunity to swim with the dolphins.

Getting Around
If you do not want to hire a car there are many other ways of exploring Albufeira and the other local areas. There are 3 different bus routes, totaling 105 stops all over the city. Running from 7am until midnight throughout the summer season, the fare is around €1 for one trip.

There is also a train service, for those looking to go further afield, www.cp.pt.

The taxi services are relatively cheap, quick and safe, there are ranks in different points throughout the city and can be booked over the telephone.

There is also a tourist train, circling the main town. This has three stops, but is a good way to see the sites.
