About the home

Located in Torre da Medronheira, Albufeira Town, this large villa is ideal for families or large groups that are looking for a quiet setting with excellent entertainment space. The villa has a large grass lawn that surrounds a good size swimming pool.

The strip and the Old town are also close by, along with Kiss nightclub which is the main nightclub in Albufeira Town.

The 6 bedroom villa has undergone full refurbishment with new bathrooms, new tiles on the floor throughout, and all furniture is modern.

This villa has impressive views of the countryside and the sea. 2 sun deck areas allow you to make the most of the sun.

All bedrooms are air conditioned.

Property is in within easy reach of Albufeira, Pinecliffs, and 25 min drive to Quinta do Lago. The property is surrounded by the best golf courses, lovely restaurants, supermarket is approx 5 minutes walk away from a large Intermarche supermarket (large supermarket that houses most essential items).

A wide range of sports facilities are available in Albufeira including golf courses, tennis and water sports.

Ideal for those who wish to be a close walk to plenty of bars, restaurants, and a beautiful sandy beach.

Villa Torre is located on an elevated position with beautiful sea views. if you are looking for a villa that is close to the strip and the Old town, but far enough away to be able to relax and enjoy the sunshine throughout the day, and then either walk or take a taxi, from the taxi standlocated at the end of the road at very reasonable prices to either the old town or the strip.

Suitability: suitable for large families / groups.

Beach Towels not provided.

Any extension on these times must be notified on booking form otherwise an additional charge will incur.

Once a week maid service is provided, additional cleaning available on request (an hourly rate will be charged @ 10 Euros per Hour).

The Algarve coast is known for some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. The Algarve has approximately 3000 hours of sunshine a year and is generally Dry.

Albufeira is one of the top holiday destinations in the Algarve. With its mix of New and Old Town. The old town remains an unusually pretty village with its narrow cobblestone streets, twisting lanes of whitewashed houses and terracotta roofs above a beautiful spread of beaches. In the day time walk around all the local shops and have a drink in one of the many Bar's and Restaurant over looking the picturesque beaches. In the night watch the town come alive with street performers and music . In one of the many great Restaurant's why not try chicken piri piri one of the local dishes.

In the New Town you have late Bars and Discos open in the early hours. With some more great Restaurants. Also don't forget about Slide and Splash, Aqualand, Zoomarine all with in 20min drive and some of finest golf course with in 10min drive.

The Albufeira / Olhos d'Agua area

Albufeira is the largest resort in the Algarve with excellent golf courses within easy reach. Located in central Algarve.

Olhos D Agua neighbours the main part of Albufeira Town, where you will find plenty of bars, restaurants, and nightlife.

There is a taxi rank located at the end of the road, and offers very reasonable prices.

Golf Courses: Algarve has some of the best Golf courses of all differing scales and prices.

A Quinta - Located in Loule

It has 300 or more days of sunshine annually. The Spanish border is only 45 min on the A22 Eastward, it is possible to get a ferry to Morroco it approx a half hour crossing.. Vilamoura (resort) is only 10 min away, it is a Golfers and Yachting paradise. The largest shopping centre in the Algarve is less then10 min drive, located in Guia village, "Shopping Algarve" Complex has everything, Cinemas , 10 Pin Bowling Fast food outlets , restaurants + all the main high street shops.On the opposite side of the road to "Shopping Algarve" you have the Retail Park with all your electrical and home needs. Lisbon + Fatima can be seen on a day trip by train from Albufeira station.

Villa Torre is located in Central Algarve and is easily reached by Faro Airport, approx 25-30min drive and average cost of 45 Euros. Easyjet, Monarch, Ryanair, British Airways all fly direct to Faro from the UK and Ireland. Villa is located in the Village of Olhos d' Agua.

Car hire is recommended, i would recommend Easy Car or Auto Europe.

Taxi's are available from outside the airport terminal and take approx 45 min door to door

The review:
Myself and 8 friends had a very enjoyable 4 night stay in Villa Torre in July 2009.
I initially only booked this villa because it was one of few that would allow bookings shorter than a week, which was very useful.

The villa itself was an excellent size, with a large living/dining area, and downstairs living area (both with flatscreen TVs), a massive terrace (with an outside room with an inbuilt BBQ and sink) 5 good size bedrooms ƒ of the rooms were very large), and three bathrooms. The kitchen was small for the size of the villa, but all appliances were modern and how much time do you spend in the kitchen on holiday anyway. Two big pluses if you are going with a large group - there was a dishwasher and very large fridge/freezer. The furnishings in all rooms were to a high standard.

The pool area was lovely, with plenty of room for 9 of us and our sunloungers, and plenty of umbrellas so that you have the option of shade or sun.
The maps of the villa give the impression it is very remote, but it's only a 5? minute taxi into Albufeira. In the day it is very quiet but that suited us, we could play music round the pool and do whatever we wanted.
In front of the property there is space for two cars if you wanted to rent them, although we didn't bother.

There is a large supermarket (i.e. not too expensive!) a 10? min walk from the villa and a few small cafes and restaurants in the same area, if you want to have a holiday that is walkable only.

The owners/property managers were very helpful, and happy to bring extra sunloungers when we noticed there weren't enough.

Can't really think of any negatives. There was a bit of a drain smell from the toilets sometimes, but we never bothered to complain about it so it couldn't have bothered us that much. We just kept the bathrooms doors shut. You couldn't smell anything in the communal areas anyway.

All in all a very enjoyable holiday and would definitely recommend the villa to someone who doesn't mind staying somewhere a bit out of town.

A 25% deposit of the total villa hire charge will be required on booking. Full payment will be required ten weeks prior to rental start date.

All party members are advised that they have travel insurance and ensure it covers cancellation, charges and emergency assistance, and name it on the booking form.

Please Note : All furniture at the villa is brand new as of July 2008, hence may differ from the pictures shown. It is of the same standard and similar style, currently there is no pool table present due to being damaged in Aug 2008 and awaiting repair)

On receipt of your deposit payment we will forward an invoice detailing all items booked by you. The balance must be paid ten weeks before departure. The person who signs the booking form will be responsible for payment for everyone named.

A refundable security deposit of £500 will also be required with the full payment balance for any damages found on the last day of handover by our Resort Manager. Once we have received his clearance of there being no damages, repayment will be effective immediately.

In the case of any claim against the security deposit any balance remaining will be credited within 72 hours. You will be fully notified at all times of any pending claim.
