If you wish to play golf on some of the Algarve's best golf courses or if you're simply looking for a beautiful piece of the Algarve that is not over-run by tourists and nightclubs then this apartment is for you. Couples (young or older) & families will love the central location and convenience of this apartment. My young family do!
Olhos d'Agua offers sunshine 300 days a year - a luxury break from our gloomy weather! It offers gorgeous, golden, sandy beaches, rocky coves, clear waters and rugged cliffs. The Algarve boasts nearly 40 golf courses and the West coast offers the best surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing conditions. The apartment's location is central and is ideal for families or couples with numerous excellent water parks such as Aquashow and 'Zoomarine', with its seal and dolphin shows, all within a very short distance.
The apartment is a short stroll from the beach. The rugged cliff face makes the Olhos d'Agua beach very private with little alcoves to sunbathe in. This is sun worshippers paradise 300 days per year. If you fancy a break from the beach then there is a communal swimming pool, children's' pool, garden, tennis courts and roof terrace. Perhaps a spot of shopping would provide a break from the searing heat - the Algarve Shopping Centre is a 10 minute bus or taxi journey away and it will cater for all your shopping needs!
The apartment is fully fitted with quality furniture and all Bosch kitchen appliances. It sleeps up to 4 people. One bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge area. There is a dining table, four chairs and baby high chair & cot if required. There is also a table & four chairs on the balcony.
The apartment also has a UK Digibox that picks up all the UK freeview channels.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve is for the holidaymaker with taste and class. Think of the Algarve and you think of 300 days of sunshine per year and relaxing holidays. You imagine golden beautiful beaches and calm sea waters, sun-kissed tourists relaxing and sampling the delights that this wonderful region of Portugal has to offer.
It has been described as Europe's sunniest spot: a unique jewel where the finest beaches and weather on the continent meet traditional historic Portugal.
There is no one best way to explore this region of Portugal. The seemingly endless coastline includes some of the world's most beautiful beaches, not least Olhos d'Agua. By venturing just a few miles inland, you can lose yourself in the heritage and history of the Algarve.
If you fancy a more action-packed holiday (or just a break from the beach, going to restaurants or shopping!) the Algarve caters for all holiday makers... with every watersport available for all tourists. The Algarve is also home to some of the world's most famous golf courses, where players of all ability are welcome. You can also try your hand at a nice relaxing game of bowling, or tennis, with the Algarve's fantastic views and sights providing the perfect backdrop.
Albufeira / Olhos d'Agua area
Olhos d'agua has been described as "a perfect pocket of real Portugal."
This village is not tacky or trampled over by tourists. It sits comfortably in between (and very close to) Albufeira & Villamoura. Olhos d'Agua is cheaper to eat out and drink in than the two big Algarve tourist destinations - Albufeira & Villamoura.
This apartment is about 5 minutes on foot from Olhos d' Agua beach and is within a couple of minutes walking distance to all facilities like restaurants, shops, supermarkets, bars, pharmacies and banks.
For those who just want golf, golf, golf there is easy access to golf courses. the apartment is approximately 2 km from Balaia Golf Course and 3 km to Sheraton Pine Cliffs, both located in Albufeira. Again, transport to these courses is easy to arrange & we can assist you with this. The Vilamoura course is a 10-15min drive away.
If you like to have a drink with a bit of atmosphere there are bars and taverns with live music. There is also karaoke - not so close ,or open late, that it will keep you up all night though!.
For those that would like to go to the waterparks, like Aquashow, or the dolphin & seal shows at Zoomarine we can direct you straight to a local agency who can arrange all this for you. These places are 20 minutes away max!
At a short driving distance (15-20mins) you will find the Algarve Shopping Centre with its wide range of shops, a hypermarket, 9 cinema screens (films in English), ten-pin bowling and fast food like McDonalds, Pizza Hut and KFC.
The Olhos d'Agua beach is beautiful and is a short walk away. For a change of scene, try the long sandy beach of Praia de Falesia nearby, which stretches all the way to Vilamoura. Back at Olhos d'agua, the hilly, cobbled streets of the town can get busy in high season. But either side of July and August, this is a quiet place, where locals queue shoulder to shoulder with the holidaymaker to buy fresh fish and vegetables at the seafront early in the morning. If you prefer to stock up at the supermarket, then there are several to choose from, as well as a large shopping mall nearby.
The restaurants, some of which sit on the cliff face overlooking the golden sandy beaches, are friendly, relaxed and very reasonably priced. Seafood is a speciality, but all tastes are catered for. If you just fancy a pint or a quick bite with excellent kids meals, then some of the very tasteful bars near the seafront are perfect.
How to get there
The Algarve is easy to get to with practically all the budget airlines (and British Airways) flying directly to Faro. Competition between easyjet, flybe, bmibaby, jet2, aer lingus and more ensures that you can get a decent price & be able to fly at times of your choice from airports right across the UK all year round. See below for a list of airlines to help you begin your search.
The rental apartment is 25mins from Faro airport by car. I can arrange your transfer directly to the apartment by taxi - it is approx 30Euro for a family of 4. Assistance with car rental can also be provided. Please contact me regarding these third party services.
I can also help with the arrangement of transport to the waterparks, zoo marine, Albufeira town, Vilamaoura or wherever you wish to go!

We spent a week here in June. The accommodation was excellent, very well equipped, bright and modern. This peaceful location was perfect for us as it was minutes from the supermarket shops and restaurants and a short walk from the beach. We divided our time between the beach and the pool. "The Algarve, Portugal was not really my holiday of choice, but more a holiday of cheapness and convenience. You see I can only take holiday in the school holidays due to teaching so this generally hikes up the price of my holiday and also means that wherever I go, I am almost guaranteed to have hoards of kids dive bombing me in the hotel swimming pool! Myself and a couple of mates were looking for a cheap holiday...the Algarve never really appealed, but it was cheap so off we went, and one of the biggest bonuses was that the flight was only 2 hours 15 mins from Stansted ~ superb for 30+ degree heat!!!
I really went on holiday...expecting shell-suited English louts sitting in tacky English-named pubs and masses of building sites (I had heard that it was over-developed and a constant building site!). But, I was actually pleasantly surprised! I ended up situated between the two biggest resorts; Albufeira and Vilamoura, in a village by the name of Olhos d’agua and I have to say that, after traveling around the area, I couldn’t have asked for a nicer place to be located in the Algarve.
The major resorts are relatively loud and tacky yes, but get out and about and you will see the real Portuguese way of life; the white washed buildings, the picturesque mountain villages and the quaint fishing towns and harbours. The Algarve is known as one of the most expensive regions to visit and this is true if you stay in one of the major towns...but visit smaller resorts and you will find some very good value eating and drinking."
