This spacious and bright two bedroom apartment is furnished over 2 floors with a twin bedroom and a double bedroom, lounge and a fully equipped kitchen and a separate downstairs WC and upstairs bathroom.
Located in the heart of idyllic Albufeira Old Town the entrance is via a private patio in a small quiet cobbled street which has no passing traffic. You can sit on the south facing balcony with its views over the old town all day in the sun. The house is set in a street of typical, mostly old, Portuguese townhouses which are lived in by friendly Portuguese people.
This location definitely cannot be beaten. 1 min walk to the main square with its artists, live music, children's entertainers and alfresco dining, this really comes alive at night. Perfect for a meal in the evening with its many and varied restaurants and bars to suit all tastes. This would suit everyone from young couples, to older couples, familes with young children. No noisy groups please!!!!!
2 mins walk to the beautiful sandy Fishermans Beach which has several sea sports including windsurfing, water skiing, banana boats, volleyball and boat trips. There are life guards on duty during the summer. There are areas of sunbeds or you can take your own chairs and parasols for free. The beach has many small bars and cafe's, ice cream kiosks and fish restaurants overlooking it. It is a truly unspoilt stunning location and is a stones throw away.
You can have the perfect Portuguese holiday without having to walk more than 5 mins in any direction! I can arrange airport transfers for you.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve is a favourite holiday destination, with beautiful beaches, stunning countryside, busy nightlife, plentiful golf courses, and friendly people. The climate is warm and sunny all year round. It has more than 3000 hours of sunshine a year. There are various sports, cultural and leisure facilities.
Albufeira / Central Albufeira area
Albufeira is a Portuguese city and a municipality in the district of Faro, Algarve region. The city proper has a population of 19,500. The municipality has a population of 35,281 inhabitants and a total area of 140.6 km². The population expands significantly in the summer, as Albufeira is one of the leading tourist resorts of the region. Facilities include a marina, golf courses plus innumerable hotels, apartment blocks, restaurants and bars, for the annual flood of visitors. Albufeira is a good base to explore the region with many smaller and less well known beaches within a short drive.
Besides the beach activities, the Algarve also holds various water fun parks. The famous water slides of many shapes and sizes will bring much animation and joy to its visitors. The most famous ones are: Aquashow (Quarteira), Aqualand (Alcantarilha), Atlantic Park (Quatro estradas), Slide & Splash (Lagoa).
In Guia, on the EN125 road, one will find the internationally renowned “Zoomarine”. This theme park presents daily different shows with performing dolphins, sea lions, birds of prey, parrots, etc. The area also offers large swimming pools facilities and some cool carrousels for the kids. The “must” in Zoomarine is to go for an interaction swim with the dolphins. (booking is required). Beside the entertainment, the park also hosts a rehabilitation centre that receives and treats lost, injured or sick sea animals.
In Algoz, on the way to Silves, stands Krazy World where, beside a great mini-golf and swimming pool, visitors can walk through a nice zoo presenting a variety of animals. One can also observe endangered species that are protected in the Omega Park in Monchique. In Bensafrim, the Lagos Zoo also offers a pleasant area where to watch some exotic animals.
If you fancy speed and thrill, kids and grown-ups can go accelerate on the Almancil Karting track. In Albufeira and many other touristy places, are other smaller parks where people can practice mini-golf, tennis, football and many other sports.
How to get there
Budget airlines from most airports in UK to Faro - 2 hours 20 mins (Easyjet, Monarch, Thomson, BA etc). Albufeira is 30-40 mins from Faro (40K). Numerous car hire companies inside the airport terminal including Easycar, Hertz, Auto Europe, Avis. Taxi approx E35. However, car hire is not necessary as there are many shuttle services from Faro airport . I can arrange airport transfers on request.
The Albufeira tourist train and Giro bus shuttle pass nearby the house every half an hour. From Ferreiras station (Albufeira, 10 mins car/taxi) Lisbon is about 2.5 hours. A railway runs right along the Algarve with stops near many of the main towns between Faro and Lagos. Very good local bus service.

Further details indoors: 6 steps from a traffic free footpath lead down to a small patio area outside the front door. Spacious kitchen, fully equipped, downstairs WC, through to spacious lounge, SKY TV, double sofabed, 2 armchairs, balcony to rear.
Upstairs to twin room, balcony to front of property, bathroom with bath and shower, double room with south facing balcony, sunny all day long until about 8.30pm in the summer.
Further details outdoors: There are several 'blue flag' beaches along the Algarve coastline, many of which are within easy reach of the apartment. All have several beach sport facilities available during the summer e.g. banana boat, paragliding, sea fishing, coastal cruises, volleyball etc. The 'strip' is only a short taxi ride away with never-ending bars, discos and nightclubs for those who like to party till early morning. For the younger ones Zoomarine, Slide and Splash and karting are all as short drive away. The nearest golf courses like the Old Course, Pinhal, Millennium and Victoria in Vilamoura and Salgados in Gale are less than 15 mins by car. Car hire is not necessary as there are many shuttle services from Faro airport (40k) (I can arrange this on request). The Albufeira tourist train and Giro bus shuttle pass nearby every half hour.
