The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve is the southern most region of Portugal and a beloved holiday destination well known for glorious year round sunshine and excellent sandy beaches. These vary from secluded coves with amazing cliffs to vast stretches of golden sand all sea washed by the fresh and clear Atlantic ocean. Inland you will find quaint villages barely touched by tourism.
Tthe Algarve is a children's haven with several exciting water parks, 'Zoomarine' sealife centre, horse riding centres and plenty of fun on the beaches! Whatever your preference, you will find your personal paradise in the Algarve.
However, if you fancy a drive into Spain then the border is only a 50 minute drive and Seville approx two hours depending on traffic.
Albufeira / Cerro d'Aguia area
The villa is ideally situated just 5 mins from Albufeira Marina where there are plenty of great boat trips leaving everyday. You can choose from a full or a half day and this can often include a trip into the caves and grottoes of the beautiful Algarvian coast line.
As for golf, the International Association of Golf Tour Operators voted it the 'Established golf destination of the year 2006'. Salgados golf course is approximately 3 miles away, being just one of many world-class golf courses to be found near to the Villa.
The nearest beaches are Gale, Sao Rafael and Albufeira, they are all within a 5 mins drive and boast beautiful sandy beaches, bars, restaurants, water sports and beautiful walks. Many smaller coves can be found along the way.
There are a number of excellent restaurants and bars located in Pateo, the closest village to the property together with a small supermarket, newsagents and bakery. Just 5 mins drive away is the lively town of Albufeira for cosmopolitan nightlife. Algarve Shopping Mall, with a large supermarket, retail shops, bowling alley and cinema is also only a 5 mins drive.
Taxis are reasonably priced. Transfers can also be arranged for you if requested.
There is an Information Book in the house with lots more information on the local area as well as some great days out.

* Fly to Faro - Casa Carse is approx 35 km from the airport (30 - 40 mins) * There are local taxis available at the airport. The charge is approx 45€ * Taxis can be arranged in advance for €25 * Car hire is available and could recommend Amoita car rentals

House towels and linen are included and a weekly maid service and gardener. Please note beach and pool towels are not provided.

The change over day will be Saturday. Departing the villa by 10am on that day. Arrival after 2pm would be preferred but of course this could be flexible.
