Home description
The apartment is situated in Portugal's sunny Algrave, which boast at having all year round sunshine making this a perfect winter and summer destination. Alto Dos Brejos is located in East Albufeira which is the the most popular and one of the oldest Algravian towns. The apartment is located very close to the lively strip area, which is buzzing with lively bars and restaurants. A short walk of around 20 minutes to Playa D'Oura beach and a very short drive to some stunning courses such as Balai and Salgados, Pine Cliffs 2.5 km, Vilamoura 6km, and a short drive to Quinta do Logo and Vila Sol. Whilst very close to all amenities the apartment is very quiet and over looks open countryside.
The apartment is on the ground floor has two small balconies, where you can enjoy breakfast Al Fresco and easily enjoy access to refreshments whilst relaxing by the pool. Maid service is provided weekly but this can be increased as required. A Welcome pack can be arranged and just about anything else to ensure that you have the perfect holiday.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algrave offers all year round sunshine and the perfect winter and summer holiday destination. It is well known for its wonderful stretches of long sandy beaches and its breath taking rugged cliff top walks. Wether driving east or west of Faro you will not be disappointed with the lovely Portuguese towns you will find. From Tavira in the East right down to Cape de Vincent on the rugged west coast. Here you can see where Vasco De Gamma set sail to discover the new world. The West coast offers some of the best surfing conditions in Europe. Within most of the towns on the Algrave you will see the moorish influence within in the architecture and street pavements.
Through out the countryside are many small farms and local fishing which provides the local restaurants with local produce where you will be able to enjoy wonderful food and wine.
One of the many outstanding features of the Algrave are its stunning golden beaches which stretch for miles in parts, nothing beats a day of relaxing on the beach enjoying the sunshine and sampling the wonderful fresh Portuguese food and wine. To top it all the people could not make you feel more welcome.
Albufeira area
Albufeira is the largest of the Towns on the Algrave and its history dates back to the Moors which is evident in the Old Town, and here you can still see the Fisherman bringing in their boats.
Albufeira offers a whole range of activities, it has loads of good restaurants we have selected our favourites to choose from in the apartment. For the fish lovers amongst you a trip to Silves, just a 15 minute drive west and you will find this lovely historic town with its own castle and a fabulous fish restaurant called Rui. Very near to Silves is the another pretty fishing village called Alvor which is worth a trip, nearby there are peaceful lagoons where you can get away from the crowds and those that wind surfer will find great conditions.
A trip up into the Montchique and walkers will be delighted with the breath taking views and spectacular walks.
If you just want to stay local you will be spoilt for choice between great beaches, Praya De Oura, Alhos de Agua, Fishermans beech in the Old Town. The local train can be picked up at the Bull ring to transport you into the Old Town if you like. A local bus runs right outside the apartment and taxis are easily got.
A short walk from the apartment is the strip with its lively bars and restaurant, and the Montechoro Hotel where you can play tennis and use the gym. courts can be hired for about 9 euros. A great coffee shop is around the corner where you can buy freshly baked cakes and bread. Lima restaurant is a short walk where locals have say that the best Chicken Piri Piri is served for as little as 6 euros.
Albufeira also has a regularly monthly Wednesday market where you can have a meander and soak up the atmosphere.
For the families amongst you right on your doorstep you can have access to Zoo Marina and Aqua Splash where the children can have hours of fun. Albufeira marina also frequently offers family activities for you to enjoy such as ice skating.
How to get there
Direct Flights to Faro Airport with Easy Jet, Air Portugal, Monarch, BA, and BMI from most UK and European Cities. Flight length around 2 hours 30 minutes. Faro about 30 minutes drive to apartment.
Flights to Lisbon from London airports. Transfer to apartment around 2 hours drive on motorway toll road.
Ferry crossing from Portsmouth to Bilboa, crossing time around 24-30 hours (mini Cruise), followed by days travel through northern Spain and Portugal.
Whilst a great way to see the Algrave is with your own transport there are great and inexpensive taxi and bus services to get you around.

Further details indoors: The apartment has been tastefully furnished and offers home from home convenience. All linen and towels are provided, we do however ask that you provide your own beach towels. The apartment is fully managed and from the point of booking until your deposit has been returned someone is on hand to help with your enquiries. Anything can be organised from airport transport to finding out local information on the area. There is a file offering you all the local advice and telephone numbers that you may need.

NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion.
A 25% non refundable deposit is payable on booking. The balance of the rental is due 4-6 weeks prior to travel unless a late booking then all rental would be due. A refundable deposit of £100 is required and is returned after your departure.
The price includes weekly maid service, all linen and towels are provided, we ask that towels are not removed from the apartment.
We do charge a £30 supplement per person above 2 sharing. ie 4 sharing would be £410 high season.
