This lovely townhouse is situated in a quiet residential area at Quinta dos Alamos, close to Guia. It has a pretty, secluded private garden with a gate at the bottom leading to the pool (18m x 7m).
The house has 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and the third bedroom with bunk beds and a single bed), 1 main bathroom, 1 en suite bathroom and 1 shower room. All rooms are spacious and bright and have been tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard. There is air conditioning in the bedrooms.
It is located within walking distance of the village of Guia. Here you will find most everyday amenities and you are spoilt for choice for restaurants – supposedly over 40! A five to ten minute drive you will bring you to some of the most beautiful beaches on the Algarve.
It is a perfect spot for a really relaxing, peaceful holiday, where you can forget the car in the evenings - and also in the day if you like relaxing by the pool. If you like getting out and about, then it is only a short drive to all that the Algarve has to offer - from miles and miles of sandy beaches and coves, water parks, golf courses and shops, to its busy and bustling nightlife.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve is one of the sunniest places in Europe, with over 3,000 sunshine hours per year. The summers can be hot, but there is usually a refreshing breeze by the coast. Spring and Autumn is an ideal time for outdoor pursuits, such as golfing, biking, walking. The winters are mild and very often sunny, but do expect a few rainy days any time between October and March.
The Atlantic coastline offers a spectacular variation of scenery from dramatic limestone cliff formations surrounding tiny coves, to long, flat, sandy beaches ideal and safe for family holidays.
Go inland, and the mountains of Monchique provide a totally different viewpoint (and on some days a totally different climate) to the coastal areas. The terrain here makes it ideal for all types of activities, from off–road biking, hiking and quad biking to walking and simply enjoying the spectacular scenery.
The western facing side of the Algarve is certainly worth a visit. The beaches are beautiful and clean and the scenery fantastic – but be prepared for more wind and colder water! A favourite spot for windsurfers.
Go east of Faro and you will find the Ria Formosa, a protected part of the coast cut off from the sea by sand–spits, forming large areas of marshlands and lagoons teeming with wildlife.
Further east beyond Tavira the coast runs off towards Spain with mile after mile of Golden flat sand.
Albufeira / Guia area
Guia is a small village located between Albufeira and Armação da Pera. There are local shops including a newsagent, pharmacy, supermarket, butcher, a local market, post office, bank, and over 40 restaurants from which to choose from! Guia is particularly known for its "Chicken Piri Piri" which is a tasty chicken cooked with mild chili peppers - a must to try when you visit the Algarve.
Many beautiful beaches including Galé, São Rafael, Castelo, Lourenço, Evaristo and Armação da Pera are within a 5-10 minute drive.
For the children (and adults!) water parks are close by –Zoomarine where you can swim with the Dolphins and Aqualand are just 5-10 minutes drive. Slide and Splash and Aqua Show are within 20 minutes.
Albufeira and Armação da Pera are less than a 10 minute drive. Both are busy, bustling resorts with lots of character, a huge choice of restaurants and bars and both with beautiful, long sandy beaches.
For the shoppers in your group, “Algarve Shopping” and the retail park are only a few minutes drive, where you will find large supermarkets, designer shops, gift shops, a Nike outlet, a sports store and more. In addition there is an 8 screen cinema, which shows all the recent films and all in English, a bowling alley and food hall.
For the golfers the 18 hole links course at Salgados is the nearest course, at less than 10 minutes. Many others are within a 20-30 minute drive.
Other activities such as horse riding, tennis, diving, water sports, fishing are all within easy reach.
Car hire is recommended for this location. Restaurants are within walking distance, but the beach is driving distance. In addition, there is so much to see and do in the Algarve that we always recommend car hire to make the most of your holiday - it is a shame to miss out.
How to get there
Faro is the nearest airport - 40km and the journey from the airport to the villa takes about 40 minutes. Many airlines fly to Faro e.g. Monarch, Easyjet, Ryanair, British Airways, Jet2, Flythomascook, Aer Lingus, Flybe, BMI, Flygloespan. Take a look at www.skyscanner.net. This compares all prices and takes away the need to initially log on to separate sites individually to see which airline is flying and when.
Airport Transfers and Car Hire can be arranged if required. If you don't wish to drive from the airport or require a car for only part of your stay we can arrange for a hire car to be delivered to the villa.
Lisbon is about 2.5 hours by car and there are good rail and coach links (both very cheap).

Further details indoors: The ground floor comprises of a spacious lounge/diner with patio doors leading to a covered terrace and private garden; fully equipped modern kitchen and a shower room.
On the 1st floor you will find 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and the third bedroom with bunk beds and a single bed), 1 main bathroom and 1 en suite bathroom. It has been tastefully decorated and furnished throughout and provides all home comforts including air conditioning, heating for the colder months of the year, wireless internet connection and cable TV, DVD and music system.
The cable (Cabo) TV has a number of channels in English including new channels, Disney, Nickeodeon, Discovery and BBC World.
Further details outdoors: South facing house and garden. Private garden laid to lawn. The pool (18m x 7m) is shared by 10 houses only. Sunbeds and garden furniture supplied. Covered barbecue area. Private Parking The private garden has gate access to the pool. In addition to the private garden, there is a large communal garden and park, ideal for the kids to run around in.

Linen and towels are provided. Guests are asked to bring their own pool/beach towels.
Towels are changed twice a week and linen once a week. Maid service is twice a week.
On the day of arrival access to the house is usually at 3.30 pm. On your day of departure you are asked to vacate by 10.30am. However, whenever possible we try to accommodate you according to your flight times.
Conditions
20% non-refundable deposit payable on booking. Balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival. £150 refundable damage/security payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. This is returned to you within 2 weeks of the end of your holiday subject to a satisfactory property inspection.
