Home description
Our dear little villa is prettily furnished with Portugese tiles in the bathrooms and kitchen, tradionally styled bedrooms one double bedroom with en suite bathroom and one twin bedroom with a door leading to the outside to private and secluded courtyard with BBQ, for those tasty grills and a Portuguese tiled stone table for eating outside and a couple of sunloungersand umbrellas. Comfortably furnished sitting/dining room with Satelite Sky TV and DVD player and also double doors leading to a terrace to the front which overlooks the orange orchard below ( an ideal place to watch the sun set with your evening drink)
Daily maid service bar sundays ensures that the villa is well looked after.
There are acres of land with just 27 villas so it is never crowded with 2 pools, a lower pool ideal for children with a small play park and the upper pool ideal for those who wish to quietly sunbathe and read. There is also a pretty Portugese run restaurant, tennis court, riding stables and in the summer months at the pool bar, table tennis and pantanque for the children.

The Algarve region
Placed on the extreme south west of the iberian pensula it stands out from the rest of the country due to its peripheral situation , and the natural contrast between seashore and mountain as well as its excellance of climate with mild temperatures all year round.
The algarve region takes up 6% of Portugal,bordering the Alentejo to the the North ,Spain to the east and is geologiacly divided into three- sub regions, the coast .the Barrocaol and the Sierras.
The Villa is ideally situated to visit tha towns of Monchique (in the hills) Faro, Portimao, Silves (an old Roman town) and nearby Albuferia .
Albufeira / Salgados area
Just a mile from some of the best beaches in the Algarve, Praia da Gale with its miles of sandy beach offering many types of watersports, banana boat rides, jet skis, and even paragliding, visit Carlos' beach restaurant on salgados beach,.
Nearby a wetlands nature reserve full of birdlife, Spot the Pink Pelicans, Purple ganilule.spoonbill falmingos marsh harrierer black winged stilt and advocet.)
Aqualand Water Park for the children within 15 minute drive and Zoomarine only 10 mins away by car.
Salgados Golf course only 10mins (discount avilable for guests )and many more course within 30mins drive Markets most weeks in Algos, Loule or Albuferia. Albufeira Marina within 10mins.
Lovely choice of Portuguese restaurants in local villages of galé, Guia and Pera . Boat trips to nearby caves and beaches. Many guests enjoy peaceful walks in the surrounding Quinta countyside
How to get there
Our property is 40Km west of Faro airport. Cheap flights are available to Faro airport with Easyjet, Flybe, Thomson, Ryanair, and Monarch. A Taxi from Faro to our property will cost 35 Euro's. A minibus Transfer for 4 of you will cost approx 45€ Pls Contact me for booking details.

Further details indoors: Our home can accommodate up to 4 persons however you can have a put you up for 5th. Also cot and highchair available (at small extra cost) baby sitting and internet acesss is available from the Quinta office. Fernando runs the small reception (our manager ) and there are plenty friendly staff on site.
The Villa has a Wood burning stove heater for those cooler evenings and heated towel rails for winter. There is Satelite TV, ( sky card) and plenty of books and DVD'S.
Sadly due to the steps to the villa the is not accessible for wheelchairs.
Further details outdoors: To the side of our villa there is a small secluded garden with a stone BBQ, for those tasty grills a traditional Portuguese tiled table for eating Al Fresco, sunloungers and sun umbrella. Outside the sitting room a small terrace with a table and chairs for watching those beautiful sunsets and for the early birds magnificent sunrises.
The Quinta da Saudade is set in beautifully well maintained gardens with an abundance of flowers and colour, Almond, orange and lemon trees are dotted around the Quinta giving exquisite aromas, beside the large family pool a children's playpark, with slides and swings a small children's pool and just a short amble away you will find the Quinta Stables, rides are available daily ( prices available from reception) also on Quinta there is 2 tennis courts and a pitch for petanque.
Above the villa a few steps away s a seclude adults only pool for those quiet moments, to enjoy without the little ones in tow.
Quinta offers two Portuguese Restaurants, One beside the families pool offering daily poolside snacks and a weekly BBQ (not to be missed,) the other is a Indoor restaurant with traditional & international homemade food.

A beautiful trnquil location far exceeded our expectations in every way. We had a wonderful 2 weeks here only problem wasnt long enough Fernando and staff were excellant can't wait to come back. bird life on the Marsh is generally outstanding (Purple ganilule.spoonbill falmingos marsh harrierer black winged stilt and advocet.) Golf course great in better shape than my golf bring lots of balls unless you have a controlled slice Wonderful walks and the beach horse rides were the highlight of my daugters stay Really enjoyed it smashing beaches daniel (17mths enjoyed seeing the goats on hill opposite each morning
