The apartment is one of only 30 units in a village type holiday retreat, with own Parking Space. It is a new very spacious 2 bedroom 2 bathroom fully air-conditioned apartment, with a large Living & Dining room with Satelite TV. The Kitchen is fully fitted with table & chairs, large fridge-freezer, Microvave Washing Machine & Gas Cooker + Extractor. The Bathrooms are fitted with Baths + Shower Over facilities & Bidets. A Travel Cot is also available in the Apartment. A FREE Welcome Pack is provided for all booking Periods, this includes tea & coffee & minerals + mineral water, light snacks and a complimentary bottle of wine.
Albufeira is Arabic meaning Castle of The Sea, it was given it's name by the Moors who occupied the town and this part of the Iberan penninsula for hundreds of years. You can still see this Moorish influence in the towns architecture. Twenty years ago it was a quaint little fishing village. Now it is the busiest, most visited, tourist town in the Algarve.
The Apartment is only 10 minutes walk from the centre of Albufeira and Fishermans Beach & Oura Beach (3 min by taxi = €3.50) Quinta dos Brejos is located next to the Albufeira Golf Academy and only 3 minutes walk from the central Bus Station and the same distance from the Albufeira Gypsy Market at Calcos. The apartment is 5 minutes walk from Albufeira Soccer Stadium where top portugese clubs (incl Sporting Lisbon) play a summer tournament each July. Longside the stadium The New Municipal Skate Park is located, ideal for the teenagers in the holiday party
The largest shopping complex in the Algarve "Shopping Algarve"is only a 10 min Taxi (€6) or a 15 min Bus Journey away in nearby town of Guia. This centre has to be seen to be believed has all the designer shops, sports shops, 10 pin bowling, multiplex cinemas and top class restaurants plus all the top fast food outlets The Municipal Bus service stops at the apartment, this will take you to the centre of the old town and centre of the Old town and the new town. The Algarve / Central Algarve region
Albufeira (Arabic)was named by the Moors (meaning light of the sea) , they ruled this area for hundreds of year. Initially , pre the tourism boom it was a quaint fishing village, in the last 20 years or so it has blossomed into the holiday hot-spot of the Algarve. Over 300 days of sunshine a year is common. You should not pass up the opportunity of taking a day long cruise along the algarve coastline (fonly €30 departs from Albufeira Marina) to the beautiful resorts of Alvor and Lagos, this cruise includes a beach barbecue plus drinks.
Albufeira Gypsy Market is located only 5 minutes walk from the Apartment alongside the Bus Station at Calcos, this market should not be missed. Goods on offer at the market include leather goods, shoes, sports goods, clothes, hand bags plus pottery all at particularly good value. Albufeira offers a lively night life scene, top class restaurants, beautiful blue flag beaches it also offers the quieter family scene and ameneties for young kids if desired.
There are 9 golf courses in close proximity and the beautiful yachting resort and marina of Villamoura is only a 20 Minute drive away, Figo the famous Portuguese footballer has a very distinctive sports themed pub on the marina front. For the Kids Slide and Splash and Zoo Marine activity centres are only a 20 minute drive. The famous Monchique mountains are only a 30 minute drive, the main town in this region is Silves (the old historic capital of the Algarve) with its historic castle, its well worth a visit you feel as if you are stepping back in time.
Albufeira / Quinta Dos Brejos area
Numerous religious festivals occur in the Albufeira area during the summer months, details of these are listed in the apartment. The local Marina is only a 5 minute drive, here you can take a cruise of the Algarvre coastline, heading west as far as Lagos, for as little as €30, this includes a stop at a secluded beach for a barbecue (sardines and meat) and drinks.
How to get there
Faro Airport is only 30 Mins from the Apartment in Albufeira on the A22 Motorway. Car hire is relatively competitive at Faro. Airport pick/up can be arranged very cheaply from Faro by a reputable operator (Mini-Bus Max 6 People). Ryann Air & Aer Lingus + all the discount airlines offer very competitive rate from most major European cities.

A security deposit (Damage/Deficiency) of €200 is required prior to commencement of holiday. This deposit is refunded no later than 2 weeks after departure, provided a satisfactory exit check of the apartments' inventory is reported.
A minimum booking deposit of €200 is required to book the holiday, the balance owing is required, no less than 8 weeks prior to commencement of holiday. Cancellation of the booking is allowed with full refund of monies paid, up to 12 weeks prior to start of holiday. Unfortunately a refund of monies after this period is not given, but you will be offered alternative dates as a substitute, as near as possible to the same rental period. The preferred method of payment is by Electronic International money transfer, i.e. Swift Transfer. from the foreign exchange counter of your local bank.
