The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve is situated in the southernmost region of Portugal and it's one of Europe's favourite holiday destinations well known for glorious year round sunshine and excellent sandy beaches. In fact, the Algarve is home to over 150 named beeches which stretch the length of the 200 kilometre Atlantic coastline. Many of the almost 400,000 inhabitants have come to settle and earn a livelihood on this coastline.
The Algarve's sunny shores offer perfect escapes for all types, from those seeking the hot nightlife of flashy, energetic Lagos to those desiring secluded stays in rambling Sagres. Portugal's most southerly region offers historical attractions in the former Moorish capital Silves and fascinating Tavira, great golf, fabulous beaches from Praia da Luz to Armacao de Pera, thermal springs at Caldas de Monchique, and miles of limestone caves and grottoes, cliffs and bays along its rugged coastline.
The Algarve has been a magnet to many discerning golfers for almost three decades due to its mild climate from autumn to late spring. The region offers over 29 beautiful golf courses most of which are located within 1 hour of Faro, with many renowned golf courses located in Vilamoura and nearby Albufeira.
In general, you will find that the Algarve, with its mild climate, reasonably priced restaurants, breathtaking scenery, friendly people and excellent golf courses, all combine to make it a memorable holiday.
Albufeira area
Albufeira, Portugal's most popular resort, has been decsribed as the "Tourist capital" of the Algarve, spreading from the old town both east and west along the coast, its sandy coves and golden beaches drawing a wide range of people. Boasting some of the best golf courses, excellent restaurants and lively nightlife, it is a holiday destination which offers something for everyone.
The lively fishing town of Albufeira is perfectly positioned within easy reach of Faro, the high mountains of Monchique, the historic town of Silves and the market town of Loule.
The town itself consists of the old and new. The old charm is to be found in the cluster of narrow cobbled streets which are lined with cafes, shops and apartments which lead down the hillside to a central square, an ideal place to sit and watch the world go by. At night the main square comes alive with people and entertainers, music and lights in front of the many restaurants and bars.
In contrast, new town is on the east side. Its most famous thoroughfare is known locally as "the strip", which runs from the Montechoro Hotel down to the Praia da Ouro, lined with various eateries, bars and cafes which stay open long hours. In short, Albufeira has a mix of new and old world attractions, enjoyed in a relaxed and friendly environment which is central to its worldwide appeal.
Albufeira is a perfect choice for groups, families, couples and golfers. Some of the easy accessible attractions include Aquapark, Slide & Splash , Zoo marine, the Albufeira marina area and Lagos zoo as well as the many golf courses that are located nearby. Salgados Golf Club, Balaia Golf and Pine Cliffs Golf are closest, at only two kilometres away. We also have a special agreement from two luxury hotels in the area, the Real Bellavista Hotel SPA and the Grande Real Santa Eulalia Hotel & SPA, were guests can enjoy the use of hotel spa and health club and squash facilities.
A favourite with families and children is the small tourist train ride which runs from the 'Strip' to Old town, stopping at several intervals along the way to ensure you get to see all the local hotspots.
This ideally located complex is within a 5 minutes walk to the famous 'strip' and approximately 15 minutes walk to the beach and within a few minutes walk to all the popular amenities that new town has to offer.
How to get there
Fly direct to Faro from Dublin, Cork with Aer Lingus or Ryanair (and with Ryanair from Shannon). Other low cost airlines such as Easy jet, XL.com and BMI offer flights to Faro from the UK or Ireland. Car hire and taxis available, and the apartment is located 35kms from from Faro airport. Low cost car hire companies include easycar or autonet, or the larger Hertz and Budget companies.

To ensure added privacy and comfort the apartments have keypad and video security features which ensure restricted access to residents. All windows and door shutters are electronically controlled for comfort and security.
Further details outdoors: To the side of the complex there are 2 pools, 1 adult and 1 kids pool for residents use located near the Corcovada Club snack bar/restaurant, together with mini golf and a dedicated children's playground. The Corcovada reception is situated directly across from the apartment entrance with a second snack bar facing the complex.
