The nearest golf course is Salgados a Links course with plenty of natural water hazards.
A wider selection of shops is available at Algarve Shopping centre at nearby Guia, a short drive from Galé. This double storey shopping mall has over a hundred shops including some recognizable international brands . There is also a bowling alley here, a hypermarket, restaurants and a cinema which shows films in English with subtitles.

Family of 6 had a fabulous stay at Villa Simoes ChgoUSA Chicago, USA Review Submitted: April 9, 2009 Date of Stay: March 2009 The description was very accurate. There was plenty of room for our family of 6. It was very clean and comfortable. Our kids loved the pool and sun terraces. My husband and I trully appreciated the starter care package left for us in the kitchen. After flying over from the states and driving from the Lisbon airport the last thing we wanted to do was run to the store and we didn't have to since our first meal was waiting at the Villa for us. The cleaning staff was very friendly. Nolida was friendly and helpful. The location was perfectly situated for a short walk to the beach, ocean-front restaurants and the Apolonia Supermarket. The beach in this area had stunning views with cliffs and tidal pools and open sand beaches. Our children, ages 4-13 years, kept busy exploring in the beautiful weather. It was trully a relaxing, memorable time until will departed and got delayed because of snow in Chicago. Nevertheless, Villa Simoes was perfect and we didn't experience any glitches; everything ran very smoothely.
