Albufeira is known for its famous strip which has over 200 bars and restaurants and night clubs also the old town history with the moors and their buildings and over 200 beaches.The famous Zoo Marine with its interactive dolphins born in captivity and water slides is only 3 kms away and vilamoura golf courses are 10 kms away.There is a sand festival held every year with artists from all over the world designing sculptures it starts every june and ends October and its a must see festival.The area of albufeira also has numerous excursions and boat trips daily or visit sir cliff Richards vineyard .Albufeira has some of the most beautiful beaches in portugal with water sports on most festivals are held through out the year from music to the sardine festival in august celebrating the sea for the sardine.There is also a motorbike rally held every year and over thirty thousand bikers turn up for a three day festival of fun and excitement.There are colourful carnivals held all over Albufeira area starting in july and ending in september.
