Home description

This brand new apartment is on the ground floor and is ideal for families. There is patio furniture for you to relax and eat outside or just enjoy the sunshine looking over the communal gardens.
Locally there are some lovely restaurants within walking distance, a bus stop across the road, taxis available from across the road, mini markets. A larger supermarket 2 minutes drive away. The beaches are just lovely, all with restaurants and bars, some with water sports the nearest beach is Gale, the nearest golf is Salgados golf course, both less than 1 mile away. A nearby town is Ghia, with traditional Piri Piri restaurants and a market on Friday mornings. Car hire is recommended as this is by far the best way to explore and see the beautiful surrounding areas.

The Algarve region

The Algarve, in the south of Portugal, has a lovely sunny climate, and through October to February the sun can be shining. At Christmas and New Year there is also plenty to do with local festivals and fireworks and concerts on the beach. It is a great place for a holiday any time of the year. The beaches are lovely, with golden sand and many have coastline walks, lots of caves and rocks to explore, most now have bars and restaurants.

There are some of the best golf courses in Europe in the Algarve. Locally there is Salgardos golf and Villamora is about 20 minutes away with a huge choice of golf courses.

There are some lovely hidden towns to explore as you drive inland into the mountains, there is also the Roman town of Silves 20 minutes away, with lts of historic features to explore. Sagres is the most southern town in Europe and has a stunning coastal view point.


Albufeira / Vale de Parra area

The apartment is located in Vale de Parra, a small quiet village on the main road from Albufeira towards Amarco de Perra, it has great local restaurants both in the village and on the nearby beaches. Bars, shops, car hire, bank, chemist, mini markets are all a couple of minutes walk away.
The beaches, within a couple of km are some of the Algarve´s best - the nearest beach Gale is 1.2 km away the bus stop across the road travels to Gale beach and back regularly, for just a couple of euro. The separate coves of Castello, Evaristo, Sao Rafael ,Coelho, and Lourenco are a must to visit at any time of the year, and in high season you can still find these uncrowded, unlike some of the busier beaches around Albufeira, they have good beach bars and restaurants, and are within 5 or 10 minute drive/ taxi from the apartment.

Albufeira town is 4kms, around 10 min drive. The old town is very interesting with narrow cobbled streets and old fisherman houses and then there are the numerous music bars and street entertainers together with regular free shows in the main square in the summer season.

Algarve Shopping, the biggest shopping centre in the region with several shops, restaurants, bowling, hypermarket (Hypermarket open daily and on Sunday until 12:00 pm) is at Guia, a small town famous for many good value restaurants specialising in 'chicken piri piri', only 7min drive.

Two Waterslide Parks: 10min & 20 min drive

Horse riding over the sand dunes: 5min drive

Water sports & jet ski on Galé Beach

Big game & Reef fishing from Albufeira marina just 5min drive

Krazy World (zoo & mini golf): 20min drive

River trips, Jeep Safaris, Sea day trips with barbecue on a secluded beach.

Excursions to local markets and other places of interest in the Algarve, to Seville and Lisbon.

Flights form most UK airports to Faro, using low cost airlines such as www.easyjet.com, www.jet2.com and www.flymonarch.com, you can get reasonable flights with flexible availability booking into our apartment, by flying Monday to Monday you can travel more cost effectively.
From Faro you can pick up a hire car and it takes between 25mins to 40mins depending upon traffic.
Alternatively there are numerous options to pre book an airport transfer online, this usually costs about £30 for a return for two people.
You can also travel by taxi from the airport
You can also hire a car in Vale de Parra, but it is cheaper at the airport.

The ground floor apartment has two bedrooms; the master has an en suite, fitted wardrobes and patio doors onto the terrace. The second bedroom has two single beds, fitted wardrobes. There is a second toilet/shower room, a fully fitted kitchen, with fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, iron and ironing board.
Both the lounge and master bedroom have patio doors that open onto the terrace, which leads onto the gardens; the sun shines most of the day on the terrace but if you prefer the shade there are olive trees to sit under nearby.
The apartment is at the end of a block of eight apartments within the complex so is quite private
A large living and dining room has a dining table and chairs for 5/6 people, a double sofa bed, arm chair, coffee table, 26inch LCD TV, a game cube and a few games, DVD player (with a selection of English films for you to watch.)
There is also a safe in the apartment.
As well as the washing machine there is a clothes airer, an iron and ironing board for your personal laundry. Each two week stay includes one linen change at the end of week one and more if you want too (at an additional cost). There are also beach towels which we would be delighted for you to use to take to the pool or beach.

There are large communal gardens so you can always find a sunny or shady spot to sit in (depending upon your preference)

For golfers “Salgardos Golf Club” is within a km and for shoppers Algarve Shopping with, fantastic shops such as Zara and Mango, restaurants, cinema, bowling, food court and supermarket, a 10 minute car ride. Private complex with Swimming pool and children’s splash pool.
