The villa is one of 22 in a small gated community. There is a spacious swimming pool on the site, which proved very popular with our grandchildren, and also a tennis court . Even though we are quite close to the popular Strip, we are not affected by noise or any kind of disturbance, which is quite helpful when putting children to bed etc. We found that we could experience all the night life we liked, and then retreated to the comfort and peace and tranquility of our Villa, when it suited us.
From the villa, a short walk (less than 10 minutes) brings you to the popular Montechoro Strip, with all manner of bars , restaurants, cafes, shops and entertainment. Just a walk along the Strip itself is an entertainment!

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve - where the sun shines for 300 days in the year, runs along the south coast of Portugal, from the West coast to the border with Spain. The climate is excellent, temperatures during the high season are generally in the high 20's - early 30's. A breeze comes in from the Atlantic, it keeps the air fresh and comfortable.

The Algarve is also very popular with golfers, and luckily enough, our Villa is not far from some of the best courses. We are approximately a 15 minute taxi ride from Vila Moura, with 5 very good courses, and we are also quite close to the well known Pine Cliffs Resort and Golf to mention but a few.
You could take a trip to the many attractions, Zoomarine for example, local tour operators run buses regularly, or you could take a taxi there, its about 20 minutes away from the villa, in Lagoa. We went to Slide 'n Splash last year with our daughter and her family, and had a fabulous day. A word of advice however, if you do go under your own steam, buy your tickets before you go there, as it cost us 2.50 Euros more each to buy the tickets at the door.
Albufeira / Areias Sao Joao area
The complex is situated in a lovely area in Albufeira, and has been described as "a hidden gem in the heart of Albufeira". It is literally a 5 minute walk from the villa to the beach, a lovely flat beach and great fun to be had in the sea, with great waves and swimming. The famous Albufeira gypsy market is held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. Loads of local colour, and the odd bargain thrown in!!
You can also walk along the beach to the Old Town of Albufeira, which should take less than half an hour, stroll around the Old Town, have lunch or a coffee or whatever, and then walk back along the beach, or if you feel like pampering yourself, get a taxi.

How to get there
The nearest airport is Faro International Airport, and it takes approximately 35 minutes by taxi to get to the Villa.
The complex is situated close to the Tres Palmeira s roundabout, which is quite well known and easy to get to.

Further details indoors: We also supply a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. We can also arrange for a travel cot and / or high chair if you let us know in advance. Towels are also supplied for use in the house. Please bring your own beach/pool towels. There is a sofa bed in the lounge area, which sleeps an additional 2 people.
Further details outdoors: Terrace: Large terrace and private back garden. There is an outdoor dining table and six chairs, and also 3 sun loungers and a swing seat. The back garden is completely enclosed and suitable for children. The back garden is also south facing, getting the best of the sunshine from morning to evening.
Although a car is not essential, there is an individual carport for each villa, and ample on street parking which is completely safe.

We offer flexibility with arrival and departure dates, we also do not have groups arriving and leaving on the same day.
Conditions
A booking deposit is required to confirm booking, and also a refundable deposit of 200 Euros.

The owner's weekend rates apply to: Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights
NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion.
These rates include linen and house towels and cleaning when you leave. Also included is use of high chair and travel cot if required. A refundable deposit of 200 Euros should be forwarded with the final balance. This deposit can be by cheque. We accept payment by bank transfer by GBP or Euros.
