Home description
This is a SOUTH facing air conditioned apartment set back from and overlooks the main areas of the club. Club Albufeira is just 2km from the centre of the Old Town of Albufeira and its famous Fishermans Beach. It is also only a few mins drive from either the New Marina with its striking Architecture and growing range of upmarket facilities or in the oposite direction the very lively " STRIP " area with its world famous nightlife. A car is not necessary as local supermarkets and restaurants are within a few minutes walk. There is also a FREE courtesy bus into the Old Town( times vary according to season ) . The Algarve Shopping Centre with its Hypermarket, many shops, cinema, bowling alley and restaurants is only around 5 mins drive away. There are 4 swimming pools with areas suitable for all ages.( 1 usually heated in winter ) On site Club Albufeira has the excellent poolside O Pavilhao restaurant open from 9am until late in season serving a wide range of snacks and meals and the NEW CASA AZUL portiguese restauarnt in the restored farm house that overlooks the development. There are snack bars ( located at each of the other pools ).

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
On the Southern Atlantic coast of Portugal the Algarve has been a very popular year round holiday destination for over 40 years. With its mild winters and hot summers it provides a climate to meet all needs. The Portuguese are well known for the welcome they provide and it is still possible onl;y a few miles inland to see an unchanged simple way of life. Development is restricted to the coastal areas and in recent years has been very strictly controlled. Old Moorish towns such as Slives, Tavira and the old centre of Faro retain much of their original charm and architecture. Cape St Vincent and the area around Sagres are world renowned for its dramatic cliff top scenery. This spectacular cliff formations can be found in many locations in the Algarve.
Albufeira / Club Albufeira area
Albufeira has grown from a simple fishing village into a large and very lively resort. However much effort in recent years has gone into retaining the feel of a small town. Large areas are now traffic free with very pleasant beachside walks. There is an very wide range of restaurants to suite most tastes and budgets The famous Zoo Marine with its Dolphin Shows, water park and research centre is 15 mins drive away as are at least two of the areas other water parks. These facilities run courtesy buses through out their season. Towns such as Loule are famous for their weekly markets. Albufeira holds concerts and firework shows during the summer and in particular on NEW YEARS EVE. A new attraction for 2009 is the Portimao race track , venue for Moto GP and F1 testing, only 35-40 mins from Albufeira.

Faro is erved by a wide range of budget airlines, Easyjet, Ryan Air, Jet 2, Monarch as well as BA and a number of charter companies.

On site shops for basics, ice creams, newpapers etc Golf, 9 holes Balaia, 18 hole Salgados , both within 15 mins drive Horse riding at Val De Para Zoo Marine and Water parks easliy reached by car or bus. Many other excusions can be booked through the Clubs reception office, eg day trips to Seville, Lisbon. Boat trips and cruises etc.
