The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve has all year round sunshine with 300 days of fabulous weather. It is a remarkably beautiful area with miles of sandy beaches and some of the best golf courses in the world.
The Albufeira Coastline, in particular, is made up of more than 20 different and beautiful beaches. Their fine sand is gently touched by the crystal clear and warm ocean water that captivates bathers of all ages. Water sports are always available, whether it be sailing, windsurfing, diving or even motorised water sports.
Albufeira also boasts of a great nightlife, top quality restaurants with a variety of cuisines, including some of the best seafood in the world.
In contrast, it also offers somewhere to relax and soak in the cultural delights of the region.
Whichever way you choose to enjoy your holiday, the Algarve has it all.
Albufeira / Quinta Dos Brejos area
Albufeira is known for it night life. The infamous strip area of Areias sao Joao comes alive in the evening providing plenty of nightlife and entertainment.
Albufeira “Old Town” with its whitewashed houses lining the narrow streets is a short drive from the apartment. The Town Square has a generous array of cafes, street vendors, entertainers, late night boutiques and excellent music bars. Local markets in the old town are also a delight to visit.
The apartment is within walkable distance to some of the beaches of Albufeira. However, with a car some of the remote and most beautiful beaches of Algarve can be reached at only 10-15 minutes driveable distance. Praia Da Oura, Praia Santa Eulalia, Praia de Balaia, Praia de Castelo, Praia de Falésia, Praia de Galé, Olhos d’Agua, Praia de Maria Luisa, Praia de São Rafael are some of the many beaches in the area.
At Ponte Grande you will see some impressive caverns with large arches and Grutas do Xorino is famous for its underwater caverns.
For the Golfers, Salgados, Sheraton Pine Cliffs (9 hole), and Balaia (9 hole) are some of the best Golf courses that are also within easy reach of the apartment. Various other Golf courses in Vilamoura are only a 15-17 mins drive from Quinta Dos Brejos. As most of these get quite busy during peak season, it is advisable to book in advance.
Other activities that can be enjoyed in the Algarve are Watersports, Horse Riding, Fishing, Tennis and Walking. The neighbouring town of Guia is famous for its good value restaurants and shopping malls.
The majority of attractions are within a 20 minute drive, including Slide and Splash, Aqualand, Zoomarine, and many more catering for all ages and interests.
How to get there
* Fly to Faro - The Quinta Dos Brejos Village lies just 35 km west, and approximately 30 minutes by car, from Faro International Airport.
* Cheap flights available from www.easyjet.com, www.firstchoice.co.uk, www.flyglobespan.com, www.flymonarch.com, www.ryanair.com
* Car hire available from www.e-sixt.com
* Local buses run regularly between the airport and the town. Local taxis are also available at the airport and the fare should be about 40-50 Euros
If driving from Faro airport - Take the N125 westbound. Turn off at the exit signed to Alubfeira. Pass Vale Paraiso on the left. Pass Club Albufeira on the right and go under a footbridge. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit and carry on straight ahead up the hill. At roundabout take the 2nd exit straight ahead and signed to Montechoro. Pass the new bus station on the left. At the T-junction turn left (signed to Montechoro). In just under 1km turn left into Quinta dos Brejos Village (white and yellow condominiums). Parking is under the green shade covers opposite Block RC or through the sliding gates at the end of Block RC.

Further details indoors: The apartment boasts of a large living/dining room leading to a south-facing private balcony facing the sea where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a four stove gas hob and fan assisted oven and a full range of pots and pans, cutlery, crockery, glassware and utensils.
The bedroom has twin beds, fitted wardrobes, air conditioning and heating and a view of the pool area.
A good-sized fully tiled bathroom includes bath and shower, WC, bidet, a large sink and heating.
Further details outdoors: The village, set in beautiful landscaped gardens has a large adult pool and a children’s pool. It is in an excellent location in a quiet residential area yet within easy reach of all the best golf courses, shops, restaurants, bars and beaches that Albufeira has to offer.

Apartment ideally located for access to strip and old town but would recommend a car. Poolside excellent for meeting other holiday makers. Situated in a really peaceful location the apartment is clean and well equipped. The air conditioning in both rooms is a plus in a hot summer night. One thing I can think of improving is the choice of TV channels but who needs TV in such a location? Although buses are available, a car is very useful if you like to explore the various beaches or attractions in the area. Overall, a very enjoyable stay. C Savaniu - Jul 2008
