About the home

Casa De Sonhas is located in the district of Quinta Dos Brejos in Albufeira. The property is south facing onto the Algarve Golf Academy( currently awaiting new owner). A five minute drive away is the quaint old town of Albufeira with a selection of shops and many restaurants or Montechoro with its 'Strip' known for its lively bars and numerous restaurants. Alternatively 15 minutes drive is Vilamoura where you can enjoy a stroll around the exclusive marina. Being central in the Algarve this is a great base to explore further if you wish - perhaps the stunning views from the Monchique mountains or historic Sagres the home of the Explorers.
The luxury 5 bedroom villa benefits from 2 master bedrooms with kingsize beds and en suite shower rooms. Twin bedroom with en suite shower room and further twin and double bedrooms with shared bathroom. Large lounge with wood burning fire and 42 inch tv. Dining room with seating for 12 people. Fully equipped kitchen/utility rooms. Games/cinema room with 50 inch tv/playstation/ pool table/table tennis/darts/air hockey and drinks bar. Satelite tv and dvd players to all bedrooms/living room/kitchen and games room with selection of dvds available.Air conditioning to lounge ,dining room & bedrooms. Heating for out of season .Private pool with terrace and outside dining facilities. Gardens with additional terraces to master and double bedrooms with outside seating.

Lower floor many be suitable for less mobile or disabled guests. Although some paths terraces are not completely flat very little variance in heights. Lower floor has master and twin bedrooms with own shower rooms however twin en suite has limited room.
Please note games room is not accessible to disabled guests as in basement.

Please note this property (including grounds) is strictly no smoking. No pets allowed unless by prior agreement. Single sex parties also by agreement. Please email for further information.
25% deposit at time of booking with balance due 8 weeks before occupation. Deposit of £500 to be paid within 14 days of occupation and on completion of satisfactory inventory deposit will be refunded within 14 days of end of holiday. 50% refund on cancellation up to 4 weeks before start of holiday, 25% up to 2 weeks before start of holiday, thereafter no refund.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

Albufeira is in the golden triangle of the Algarve, Portugal's southernmost region. It has established itself as a firm family favourite. Its tropical climate boasts over 3000 hours of annual sunshine . Numerous golf courses are located within 20 minutes and many fantastic golden coves lie within a stones throw of your holiday location. Experience a holiday with something for every taste - great scenery to watersports, shopping to karting or just pure total relaxation.

The Albufeira / Quinta Dos Brejos area

Quinta Dos Brejos is a quiet residential district of Albufeira . The villa adjoins Algarve Golf Academy (currently awaiting new owners). Nearby is the new green area with a skate park, indoor swimming pool, athletic stadium and a couple of bars.
The Old Town of Albuferia with its picture postcard bay, Fisherman's Beach a sandy cove, flanked by limestone cliffs is five minutes drive away. The walk is quite hilly so as an alternative take one of the local buses or a taxi will cost approx 4 euros.
At the heart of the resort, the Main Square is home to many a colourful street artist and live music playing into the night give this area a marvelous atmosphere. Small market stalls occupy the streets around the square and you can easily find the ideal gift to take home with you. Its a bustling but yet traditional side of the resort and should not be missed on a visit to the region.

Montechoro
Is also five minutes drive from us and is known as 'The Strip'.
This long street runs north/south through the resort and contains everything you could possibly want during your stay. It is lined by many bars, restaurants, bureau de exchange points, supermarkets, souvenir shops, boutiques, ice cream parlous, information points, bike & car hire. The Strip culminates at a steep hill that finishes at Praia da Oura or Golden Beach. As the name suggests this is a golden sandy cove, shelving gently into the cool Atlantic ocean. There are sun beds and parasols for hire here and the water sports school will keep the more active occupied. At night 'The Strip' offers a livelier alternative with many music bars with bright lights well into the night.

Albufeira Marina
I new, colourful addition to this area. Take a speed boat and find the dolphins or a leisurely cruise to enjoy the magnificent coastline.

Whatever type of holiday you are enjoying you are well catered for in Albuferia. All eating tastes are accounted for with hundreds of restaurants to chose from. You can sample the local cuisine or enjoy dishes from all corners of the world. Albufeira even offers those fast food establishments that we know well from home. If you are cooking yourself there are a multitude of different supermarkets to choose from. From the small specialist to large hypermarkets that sell simply everything.

On the first and third Tuesday in each month, year round, the traveling Gypsy market visits the site next to the bus depot to the north of Albufeira Old Town. Here you can barter for bargains in Shoes, leather goods, ceramics, clothes and other local handicrafts. For serious shoppers the newest addition to Algarve's shopping - "Algarve Shopping" is just ten minutes drive away. This two storey shopping mall has many different shops to browse around, as well as six cinemas, a bowling alley and a huge food court.

The scenery in the Algarve is fantastic with pretty coves and marvellous views from the mountains. If you would like some further entainment these are a sample of activities on offer:-

Almancil karting (if you are feeling competitive)

The Algarve is extremely accessible all year by flying into into the regional airport Faro, half an hour from Albufeira. Seville Airport is only 2 hours drive as is Lisbon.The airports are served by mainy airlines including Easyjet, Ryanair, Globespan, Monarch etc . Should you wish to extend your holiday their are excellent motorway links from the UK either via Calais or Santander in Spain.
Car hire is available from all airports and local taxis cost approximately 30 euros from Faro to Albufeira.
