This lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom villa is located on the excellent Balaia Golf Village between Albufeira and Vilamoura. It is superbly located in the centre of the complex overlooking one of the pools with easy access to all the facilities but with plenty of space around it for the kids to play! It is a single storey property located at ground level, so is ideal for families with young children as there are no dangerous stairs or balconies. There are 2 private patios complete with outside furniture and barbeque.
The property is air conditioned with full climate control to provide cooling in the summer and heating in the winter. The 2 bathrooms were completely renovated in 2006 and the kitchen was totally replaced in 2007.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
A wonderful sunny climate with a pleasant breeze and great beaches makes the Algarve one of the most popular resorts in Europe. There is something for everyone - plenty of great golf courses, water parks, water sports, old castles/buildings and varied scenery provide suitable options for everyone. The area around Albufeira has excellent facilities for all your holiday needs - shopping, entertainment and plenty of bars and restaurants.
Although many people come to the Algarve for these reasons, there is much more to this area than the traditional beach holiday and a short journey inland will reveal the quaint villages of the old Portugal. There are many places of architechtural interest nearby and the old town of Albufeira is worth a visit, as is the marina at Vilamoura. On top of the excellent facilities and the great climate, the Portugese are very friendly and will make you feel welcome.
Albufeira / Balaia Golf Village area
Balaia Golf Village consists of luxury traditional-style villas and low rise apartments generously spread among gardens of exotic plants and shaded by mature pines and cork oak trees. The Village is lovingly laid out around six uniquely shaped swimming pools, and its 40 hectares never feel crowded even in the peak of summer.
As well as a beautiful 9 hole golf course right on your doorstep, Balaia Village features many other facilities:- - 60-bay golf driving range, putting green and practice holes - Four all weather Tennis Courts - Six outdoor swimming pools — one of which is heated - Indoor leisure centre -heated pool, jacuzzi, steam & massage rooms,gym - Restaurant/Bar and Snack Bar - Super Kids Club for 3 to 12 yr olds with lots of activities - Indoor Games (Table Tennis, Darts, Snooker & Table Football)
A small parade of shops is located at the front of the complex and this includes a supermarket, a general store/newsagent, a beauty salon, a hairdressers and a gift shop. A further two small supermarkets are located within 5 minutes walk and a larger one is approx 1 mile away. There are a number of restaurants within 15 mins walk and numerous others within a 5 minute drive or taxi ride.
The Reception is available 24 hours a day and they can arrange car hire, taxi services, babysitting, maid services, currency exchange, tours, etc. Internet access is also available next to Reception
Balaia Village is a ten minutes stroll from the sandy Maria Luísa beach, where sun beds and shades may be rented and wind-surfers are for hire. There are showers and a beach restaurant there too. Slightly further in the other direction is St Eulalia beach.
The Balaia Golf Village incorporates a 9 hole par 3 executive course, and the amenities include a 60 base driving range with covered bays for all-weather use, practice bunkers, chipping and putting greens. In the beautifully appointed clubhouse you will find a pro shop, reception, club hire, trolleys and rental locker facilities not forgetting a large sunny terrace overlooking the course, and a restaurant. There is normally a half set of clubs left in our villa which guests are welcome to use.
Being centrally located, Balaia Village is an excellent base for golfers visiting the Algarve. The five Vilamoura courses are only 15 minutes drive away, Salgados - 10 minutes and Pine Cliffs a mere 5 minutes away. Quinta do Lago, Vale de Lobo, Pinheiros Altos, Vila Sol and the two Carvoeiro courses are within an easy 30 minutes drive. Balaia has negotiated special green fees with the various Algarvean golf courses, which are offered to Village owners and visitors. Reception will be happy to make bookings for you. How to get there
You can fly to Faro from most area's of the UK. Most of the low cost carriers and charter airlines fly to Faro, including EasyJet, Ryanair, Jet2, Monarch, FlyBe, First Choice, Thomson - as well as the major airlines such as BA and Tap Portugal.
Balaia is approximately 40 mins away from Faro airport by car. We can arrange airport transfers via Balaia (current charge is approx €32 for up to 4 people).
As an alternative, you could always fly to either Lisbon or Seville - transfer times from here are approx 2.5 hours

Further details indoors: The master bedroom has a double bed and built in wardrobes with plenty of storage space. The double patio doors lead out onto a small private terrace.
The en suite bathroom was completely renovated in 2006 and includes a large shower.
The second bedroom consists of twin beds and more built in wardrobe space.
The main bathroom was completely renovated in 2006 and includes a bath with shower over. Both bathrooms have independent heaters for the cooler months.
The kitchen was completely renovated in 2007 and includes all modern appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, ceramic hob, large fridge/freezer, oven and extractor hood. In the utility room, there is a washing machine and tumble dryer. All crockery and utensils are supplied.
The spacious lounge and dining area includes a double sofa bed, table and chairs for 6 people, satelite TV, CD/radio, DVD player and video. The patio doors open out onto the larger terrace with table, chairs, parasol, sun loungers and barbeque provided.
Further details outdoors: The villa is centrally located within the complex with easy access to all the main facilities. These is plenty of grassed area's in front of the villa with room for the kids to play. We overlook one of the lovely pools - the facilities at the pool includes a snack bar, kids pool, shower/wc, sun loungers & parasols, table tennis, pool table and children's play area.
Conditions
- Charges are for the property per week and payment is due in pounds sterling only (we do not accept any other currency and the guest is responsible for any currency exchange expenses). - Sorry, No pets allowed. - No Smoking inside the property please. - A deposit of £200 is required to reserve the villa and the balance will be due 8 weeks before departure (we are not able to accept credit cards). If booking less than 8 weeks before departure, then the full amount will be due at the time of booking. - The charges cover the use of the property, electricity, water, heat, linen, cleaning upon departure and a weekly clean and laundry change for rentals of 2 weeks or more. - We can arrange with Balaia Golf Village to supply high chairs, cots, welcome food packs and airport transfers. Please contact us for more details or inform us of your requirements when making your reservation. - Additional cleaning and laundry services are available at an extra cost with prior arrangement. - Please bring your own beach towels and do not use the property towels for outside activities. - Check in is 3pm and check out is 10am. - Keys are collected from Reception
