Quintas Ilha da Madeira 1 and 2 are two beautiful identical villas with simming pool that were restored in 2003 and converted from a farmhouse situated in the vicinity of great beaches. They have a delightfully rural location, only 4 kms from the gorgeous Galé beach and 2kms from the Salgados golf course. These spacious and beautiful villas are situated 1.7kms away from the bustling little village of Guia, where you can find a variety of restaurants from the famous and popular chicken piri-piri houses to very fine dining in the centre of the village. Near this tranquil area, you will find wonderful beaches from intimate coves to the glorious sandy expanse of Galé and Salgados beaches. The splendid Algarve Shopping Mall (2kms east of Guia) provides one-stop shopping and family fun at the bowling alley and cinema complex. Also in the vicinity of Guia you will find the famous Zoomarine park (not to be missed by families), and its fantastic shows of dolphins, seals and parrots. The new and old towns of Albufeira are only a 10 minutes drive away, as well as its colourful marina. You will certainly enjoy a quiet stay in the relaxing and peaceful Quintas Ilha da Madeira but within easy reach of Albufeira.

The Algarve region
The Algarve is a blessed area with an almost tropical climate that boasts over 3,000 hours of annual sunshine. It’s ideal for beach lovers as there are over sixty easily accessible beaches plus dozens more with more challenging and secluded points of entry. This region is well known for its golf courses and also for the many attractive fishing villages, and of course, for the delicious seafood.
Albufeira / Guia area
Vale de Parra, or the “Valley of Grapevines” is a tranquil area of low hills, fertile plains and wonderful beaches, where, on a summer evening you have a magnificent sight of the slow sun drop over the horizon. There are several small coves and bays all with soft sand, together with the immense Praia da Galé. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from either beachside or countryside. There are a few mini-markets and gift shops in Vale de Parra, but Albufeira is close by. Guia is a delightful little village with narrow cobbled streets, traditional cottages, a lovely church and a famous selection of chicken piri-piri. The superb “Algarve Shopping” complex just outside Guia has a hypermarket, nine cinema studios, ten-pin bowling and an excellent variety of stores. These resorts have a quiet nightlife, however, Albufeira and Praia da Oura have everything.
How to get there
Cheap flights are available from Easyjet and Monarch. Fly to Faro International Airport and Guia is only 40 minutes drive (approx. 45 kms). Taxis can be arranged to collect you at the airport and take you to the villas, and this can be pre-paid, but will need a car to get out and about. Depending on how you will intend to arrive in the Algarve, you will be provided with directions for you to drive to the property.

Further details indoors: The two villas are identical in every detail. Each villa has an ample south facing living room with glass doors giving walk-on access to the swimming pool and open sun terrace. The comfortable furnishings blend modern with traditional styles with sofas, a dining suite, satellite television and a big wood-burning fireplace. Both villas have a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, fridge, freezer, cooker, oven, electric kettle, electric toaster (plus all necessary utensils) and a dining table for 6 persons. There is also a washing machine in the utility room. Each of the two villas sleeps up to 6 persons. All bedrooms have their own en suite bathroom (there are two twins and 1 double in each house).
Further details outdoors: Both villas have their own swimming pool, barbeque and spacious grounds with side lawns, palm trees, and countryside surrounds with vineyards and orchards of olive and almond trees. Both private patios have 6 sunbeds, 6 chairs, one table and parasols.
