The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve offers practically year-round sunshine, golden sandy beaches with bars/restaurants, some of Europe’s best golf courses good value restaurants.
Albufeira town is 4kms, around 10 min drive. The old town is very interesting with narrow cobbled streets and old fisherman houses and then there are the numerous music bars and street entertainers together with regular free shows in the main square in the summer season.
The Algarve is situated in the south of Portugal and benefits from an excellent all year round climate. June, July and August being the hottest months, an ideal time for sun worshippers. Even during winter temperatures can be very pleasant making the Algarve an all year round destination for vacations and short breaks
Albufeira / Vale de Parra area
The apartment is located in Vale de Parra, a quiet area between Albufeira and Amerco de Perra. Situated within a couple of km to some of the Algarve´s best beaches - the nearest is Gale and also the coves of Costella, Evaristo, Coelha. There are great local restaurants both in the village and on the nearby beaches. Bars, shops, car hire, bank, chemist, mini markets are all a couple of minutes walk away.
Car hire is recommended as this is by far the best way to explore and see the beautiful surrounding areas.
Algarve Shopping, the biggest shopping centre in the region with several shops, restaurants, bowling, hypermarket (open Mon-Sun until 12:00 pm) is at Guia, a small town famous for many good value restaurants specialising in 'chicken piri piri'.
There are some of the best golf courses in Europe in the Algarve. Locally there is Salgardos golf and Villamoura is about 20 minutes away with a huge choice of golf courses.
Albufeira Marina is just 5 minutes drive away. You will find Bars and Restaurants. Basketball, Football, Miniture Golf. You can also arrange for boat trips including dolphin safari, and speed boats trips from here.
Zoomarine Park (sea life): 10min drive
Two Waterslide Parks: 10min & 20 min drive
Horse riding over the sand dunes: 5min drive
Water sports & jet ski on Galé Beach
Big game & Reef fishing from Albufeira marina just 5min drive
Krazy World (zoo & mini golf): 10 min drive
River trips, Jeep Safaris, Sea day trips with barbecue on a secluded beach.
Excursions to local markets and other places of interest in the Algarve, to Seville and Lisbon.

Taxi to albufeira from apartment approx 5 euros
Car hire- Avis, easyjet, travelsupermaket. (we have used all of these and all relatively inexpensive, depending on the time of the year)
There are a few car hire companies, close to the apartment complex if you want to hire when you get there. This does however work out more expensive than pre-booking

Patio doors open from the lounge and main bedroom onto terrace overlooking gardens. Patio Furniture The apartment has TV and DVD player, also a playstation2 (Please take you own games if you want to use this)

Each 2 week stay inlcudes one linen change at the end of week one. (additional charge if you want more than one clean)
