The Algarve region
If you have never been to the Algarve,it is not really possible to explain what makes it a very special place.A good place to start is the weather,as the Algarve has an idyllic dry climate, including the fact that it is surrounded by hills, the sea and the river Guadiana.
There is much, much more than sun and sea.The Algarve has something to offer everyone, tempting golf courses, superb tennis, and riding, and every water-sport you can think of.
There are Roman towns, and cooled tiled churches, and explore the narrow winding streets. As well as the history there are lively bars and restaurants with unbeatable fresh seafood. The Algarve really is a place to visit.
Paderne is a quite charming village which is just 7.5 miles(or 12 kilometres) north of Albufeira, and has its own Castle ruin dating back from Moors,a Roman Bridge which leads to the Castle. There is also Paderne fonte, and spring which is still used today by passing locals.
Today the village has still kept its charm with the village church, and cented orange groves that side the streets.
There are a scattering of bars and restaurants, not to mention all the essential amenities such as supermarket, newsagents, chemist, post office, cash machines, and petrol station.
