Quinta da Sao Sebastio is located in the village of Alcantarilla just a five minute drive from the many beautiful beaches of Gale. Quiet and peaceful, yet only a fifteen minute drive from the lively but lovely resort of Albufeira. The villa has access to everything within a couple of minutes. Great beaches, fabulous restaurants, Aqualand Water Park, Zoo Marine (swim with the dolphins), the largest retail shopping centre in the Algarve, complete with bowling and cinema (showing English movies) and a choice of great golf clubs. Salgados, Vale de Pinto, Silves to name just a few.
The house benefits from a lovely pool, shared with the other 8 houses. Leading from the living room and the kitchen is a large terrace, furnished with a built in barbeque and table and chairs to enable you to dine al fresco. The master bedroom upstairs has a huge en suite bathroom and a spacious balcony off it, with fantastic views of the pool and garden. Let the kids play in the pool while you sit out in the comfortable chairs and watch. There are two further double bedrooms all with balconies and bathrooms off them. The villa is ideal for families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.
You can enjoy the best of both worlds with this holiday. Have every facility and lively entertainment on your doorstep in Gale and Albuferia, but escape to the quiet and peacefulness of your holiday home whenever you wish.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The holiday season in the Algarve runs mainly from February to October. With families holidaying in fabulous weather from June-September, and golfers flocking to the fantastic golf courses throughout the Algarve in the cooler but gorgeous months of Feb- May and Sept- Oct. We have found the local people to be extremely friendly, and the facilites are second to none.
Alcantarilha area
Lively resort of Armacao de Pera is only 3km away. Village of Guia - origin of chickin piri piri- complete with some of the nicest restaurants around. Zoo Marine where you can swim with the dolphins. Aqualand water park just two minutes from the house. Slide and Splash - larger waterpark, about a 15 minute drive in Lagoa Algarve Retail - Large modern shopping centre, with a great Retail Park beside it. (8 minutes away) Closest Beach - 5 minutes drive, but loads of different beaches all along the coast. No need to stick to the same one all the time. We are 2 minutes away from the fantastic new Oceanico Amendaoira Golf Resort with two world class golf courses. Albufeira- busy resort with two areas. The newer area is lively and fun, restaurants pubs etc. Old Town Albufeira is a pretty but still lively older area with a large square with restaurants and bars all around it. Entertainment happens on the square regularly.
How to get there
We fly from Dublin to Faro with Aerlingus or Ryanair and find car hire through economycarrentals.com very competive and handy. The cars are available from the carpark at the airport, so there is no taking buses to outside depots.
It takes 40 minutes on the A22 to reach our house.

Further details indoors: Fully fitted kitchen with all mod cons and seating for 6. Great living room, satalite TV (ITV, BBC and other sky stations) DVD player. Two double bedrooms upstairs with single beds, which can be placed together as doubles if required. Balconies and en suite bathrooms off both these rooms. Downstairs bedroom with 2 single beds and a bathroom outside the door. This bathroom doubles as the main bathroom during the day. There is airconditioning in the living room and all the bedrooms. The back of the house enjoys fabulous sunshine all day, but even so, the house remains lovely and cool.
