Situated on the beach road just 4 km west of the old fishing town of Albufeira and just a short walking distance from some of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal and not far from Guia, where Cliff Richards has his home and vineyards.
The villa while only built in 1985 as been totally refurbished with new beige marble tiled floors through out to give a bright and spacious atmosphere as well as bright new bathrooms and a new modern kitchen and utility room with the latest wood finished units and black granite work tops.
The living room as sliding glass doors leading on to an elevated terrace where you can have breakfast, or in the evenings watch some fabulous sun sets or swim in the 30ft long illuminated solar heated swimming pool.
For those who like to dine out the area is blessed with a fine selection of good quality restaurants and bars catering for all ages .There is a wood burning stove for winter nights and air-conditioning for comfort on hot summer days.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
Portugal is a long narrow country with Spain on the north and east borders and the Atlantic Ocean to the west and south.
The Algarve is the most southern region of Portugal stretching from Spain in the east to the Atlantic in the west approx 100 miles. The southern edge along the Atlantic has some of the most beautiful coast line in the world. With the construction of Faro airport the Algarve has become a Mecca for holidaymakers especially golfers with a abundance of top golf courses.
During the last decade a new motorway as been built and this parallels the coast to the west Algarve. The airport for the Algarve is Faro and as connections to all parts of the EU and the UK with its no frills airlines and is close to the motorway (A22) and allows easy access.
Albufeira / Gale area
The Central Algarve is the main tourist area, and Albufeira is the centre of this. Albufeira used to be a small fishing town for decades but with the arrival of tourism it as expanded and now makes its money from tourism with shops restaurants and bars.
To the east (2 km) Albufeira has extended with the strip, which some 20 years ago was just that a strip of land running from the sea up to Montechiro hotel about 2.5 km and now filled with shops bars and restaurants and is loud.
To the west of Albufeira it is residential, with its beautiful coast line, and the 4 km from Albufeira to Gale is a parade of bountiful beaches 4 of which are with in easy walking distance of our villa. The beaches are fed by a road from Albufeira to Gale beach (Praia De Gale) by the beach road. “Estrada De Gale”. Where it ends. All though still rural people from all parts of the EU have begun buying land to build their holiday homes there, and in the summer, there are lots of good restaurants and bars.
There are also shopping malls with in easy reach along with water parks etc.
How to get there
The villa is situated approximately 40 km west of Faro airport, which takes passengers from all parts of the UK and Europe.
From here you can take a taxi or hire a car and the villa can be reached in about 35 minutes by motorway. Taxis and mini buses can be pre booked for you.
We are also abut 4 km west of the main town of Albufiera with a hourly bus service.

Further details indoors: On the first floor there are 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin and 2 bathrooms. Each bedroom has sliding doors and private balcony as well as air-conditioning.
On the ground floor there is 1 twin bedroom and 1 bathroom, a large lounge and a large kitchen with separate utility room with washing machine sink unit and ironing facilities.
The villa is child safe with safety glass fitted to all sliding doors, gates for stairs baby monitoring device. Along with free high chair and cot etc.
Further details outdoors: The villa is one of 10 detached villas in a cul-de-sac, and is on 2 levels, the upper level is a walled in garden, with lots of flowers and bushes, and separated from the lower level by a gated fence for safety, so little ones can run around and around in complete safety.
There is a walk in BBQ opposite the kitchen door and a small lawned area a for clothes drying There is plenty of space for outside dining.
The lower level is 2 m above the street and behind 2 m high solid fencing for privacy and not over looked. The pool is solar heated and illuminated for evening relaxation.

Many thanks, we had a wonderful holiday and found your villa beautiful. The children really enjoyed the pool and beaches, which we did every day. Both we and the children enjoyed the Zoo Marine so much we went twice! We noticed that you did not recommend the Por Do Sol but we enjoyed many meals there and there was room for the children to play. PLACED NOV 2008 The holiday to the Algarve was a surprise for Chris my wife as she was celebrating her 50th birthday. We were joined by our sons and their girlfriends. Villa Margarida was exactly as described. It was immaculate both on arrival and thanks to the daily maid service. The villa was spacious and provided all we needed for our two week stay. The information pack provided by the owner enabled us to find our way around without a car as we walked to beaches, bars and restaurants. Our sons were in heaven with a curry house, chinese restaurant and italian takeaway within walking distance. The View Bar complex with small shop and Sky Sports was particularly popular and handy. The beaches around Gale are excellent and all within a 10 to 25 minute walk. Trips to Albufiera were straightforward with pre booked taxis and quite inexpensive. The Old Town is a better bet than The Strip, for wrinklies and young couples. Customer service was very impressive and included arranging airport transfers, taxis and the immediate replacement of a broken kettle. The area around the villa is a peaceful residential area. we were advised before departure of a development close to the villa. We were not troubled by this during our stay at all and when completed the area will be enhanced by a modern well presented apart hotel. All balconies (every bedroom) enjoyed extensive views of the ocean and varied skylines. The outside amenities were a huge plus with the large, clean pool with loungers, extensive and adaptable dining furniture and a most impressive brick BBQ. We would have no hesitation in recommending the villa to friends and family. This was our first visit to the Algarve. We will return and would try to book Villa Margarida before anything else.
