About the home
This spacious, well equipped holiday home is situated in a quiet area of Albufeira close to Balaia Golf.
The house will very comfortably sleep 6 adults. All bedrooms are situated on the 1st floor. There is 1 en suite double, 1 double and 1 twin. The doubles both open out onto the south facing balcony with lovely sea and countryside views. Also on this floor is a large family bathroom. The ground floor houses a shower room, a large, modern, fully fitted kitchen, and a spacious lounge/diner with patio doors leading out onto the terrace. For your entertainment there is Satellite TV (free to air channels), a DVD with a good selection of DVDs, iPod Dock, a music system, board games and books.
For your year round comfort there is air conditioning/heating and ceiling fans.
There is a good size communal pool and a small children's pool well positioned to catch the sun for most of the day. There is also a children's play area and communal barbecue to the front of the property.
A short drive will bring you to some of the Algarve's fabulous beaches – the golden sands of Sta. Eulalia; Falesia which has mile after mile of sand backed by high red stone cliffs and the beautiful sandy cove at Olhos d'Água.
Restaurants, bars and shops are within easy reach at Albufeira and Olhos da Água. In addition Vilamoura is only 15 minutes in the car.
The house is bright, spacious and well equipped offering a home from home atmosphere. If you want to stay somewhere peaceful but be within easy reach of amenities as and when the mood takes you then this is a great location.

All rooms within the property are spacious, all bedrooms being of comfortable size to accommodate 2 adults in each. Both double bedrooms open out onto a balcony with beautiful views over the ocean and the surrounding area. The lounge and dining area offer a comfortable, homely atmosphere and this has double patio doors opening out onto a terrace equipped for outside dining. The kitchen is very well equipped with modern appliances and cooking utensils, crockery, etc. There are three bathrooms - one on the ground floor with a shower, wc and sink, the main bathroom is on the 1st floor with a bath/shower, wc, bidet and double sinks. The third bathroom is the ensuite with a bath/shower, sink, wc and bidet.
Further details outdoors:
The lounge/diner and both double bedrooms have terraces with sea and countryside views. There are garden chairs and tables provided on both terraces. 6 sun beds are provided. The ground floor balcony has a retractable awning, giving shade when required.
To the front of the house there are landscaped gardens, communal bbq and children's playground.
Secure parking is provided in a private underground car park. There is also plenty of parking outside the condominium.
Towels and linen are provided, although guests are asked to bring their own pool/beach towels.
Maid service is once a week. Linen and towels are changed once a week.
On the day of arrival access to the house is usually at 3.00 pm. On your day of departure you are asked to vacate by 10.30am. However, whenever possible we try to accommodate you according to your flight times.
Upon booking a deposit of 30% is required. The balance is payable 8 weeks prior to the commencement of your holiday. At this point we also ask for a refundable damage deposit of £150. This is returned to you within 2 weeks of the end of your holiday subject to a satisfactory property inspection.
For the comfort of all our guests, smoking is not permitted inside the house.
The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve is one of the sunniest places in Europe, with over 3,000 sunshine hours per year. The summers can be hot, but there is usually a refreshing breeze by the coast. Spring and Autumn is an ideal time for outdoor pursuits, such as golfing, biking, walking and horse riding. The winters are mild and very often sunny, but do expect a few rainy days any time between October and March.
The Atlantic coastline offers a spectacular variation of scenery from dramatic limestone cliff formations surrounding tiny coves, to long, flat, sandy beaches ideal and safe for family holidays.
Go inland, and the mountains of Monchique provide a totally different viewpoint (and on some days a totally different climate) to the coastal areas. The terrain here makes it ideal for all types of activities, from off–road biking, hiking and quad biking to walking and simply enjoying the spectacular scenery.
The western facing side of the Algarve is certainly worth a visit. The beaches are beautiful and clean and the scenery fantastic – but be prepared for more wind and colder water! A favourite spot for windsurfers.
Go east of Faro and you will find the Ria Formosa, a protected part of the coast cut off from the sea by sand–spits, forming large areas of marshlands and lagoons teeming with wildlife.
Further east beyond Tavira the coast runs off towards Spain with mile after mile of Golden flat sand.
The Albufeira / Branqueira area
The house is located just east of Albufeira close to Balaia Golf Course, Sta. Eulalia and the bustling fishing village of Olhos da Água. Balaia Golf Course is a few minutes by car down the road. For those of you who enjoy other sport then tennis is available nearby at Quinta da Balaia and horse riding at Vale Navio. The beaches at Albufeira, Sta. Eulalia, Olhos da Água and Falesia are a short drive. At many of these beaches there is a variety of water sports on offer.
There are a couple of restaurants within easy walking distance and Sta Eulalia is approximately a 15 minute walk away where there is an excellent choice of restaurants and bars. Olhos da Água, a short drive, also offers a good variety. The "Strip" which is the relatively newer part of town particuarly catering for younger people is about 20 minutes on foot. The bustling Old Town is a short taxi ride away. A bit further along the coast you will come to Vilamoura (about 15 minutes) which hosts 5 award winning golf courses. Here there is also a lively marina with lots of restaurants, bars, shops and where you can pick up many water borne day trips e.g fishing and sailing.
Many of the Algarve’s attractions are within easy reach – Zoomarine, where you can swim with the dolphins, Water parks, Krazyworld, numerous excursions, safari trips, diving, horseriding, tennis and more.

Faro is the nearest airport - 40km and the journey from the airport to the house takes about 40 minutes. Many airlines fly to Faro e.g. Monarch, Easyjet, Ryanair, British Airways, Jet2, Aer Lingus, BMI Baby, Thomson Airways, TAP Portugal, Transavia, Air Berlin, Lufthansa, Europe Airport, Brussels Airlines, Jetairfly. Take a look at www.skyscanner.net. This compares all prices and takes away the need to initially log on to separate sites individually to see which airline is flying and when.
Car hire is the easiest option. Alternatively, if you do not want to drive from the airport, we can arrange an airport transfer and then have a car delivered to the house.
