Home description
This beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished second floor apartment is fully air conditioned throughout. It is very spacious and sleeps up to 6 people and offers excellent value for money. It is well situated in a quiet residential area, but is close to the centre of Albufeira. The spacious living room is equipped with satellite television and DVD player. There are 2 balconies: one leading off the lounge and the other off the bedrooms.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region
The Algarve is located on the south coast of Portugal. It is a very popular holiday destination. The Algarve is renowned for the many golden sandy beaches which can be found along its coastline. The beaches are breathtaking and in the summer 2005, 48 beaches in Algarve were awarded Blue Flags. In addition to the beaches, there are numerous golf courses along the coast and many water activities to keep all ages amused.
Albufeira / Areias Sao Joao area
This area offers fabulous holiday opportunities throughout the year with golf courses, water sports, shopping, culture. beaches and varied restaurants.
Sao Joes, Albufeira offers an Avenida of shops, bars, restaurants and clubs which runs from Montechoro to the beach at Praia da Oura. For many visitors the golden sandy beach and the vibrant nightlife offered here provide the perfect holiday ingredients. There is a fantastic beach, Santa Eulalia, about 20 minutes walk from the apartment with a lovely restaurant and water sport facilities (in high season)
There are three local golf courses and a wide choice of water sports and boat trips available in the area.
Zoo Marine is based in Guia a short car/bus ride. Zoo Marine features dolphin and tropical bird shows, an aquarium, fairground rides and swimming pools surrounded by beautiful lakes and gardens.
Old town Albufeira is about 1.5 kms away.There is a mixture of the historic and traditional flavour of the Algarve with cobbled streets and picturesque leafy town square, plus a superb variety of restaurants, bars and shops. The old town can be reached by using the tourist train, or for the walkers , a 40 minute walk. The taxi fares are very reasonable for bringing you back. Old Town offers some lovely restaurants.
The beach at Praia d’Oura (800metres - 20 mins walk) is made of fine golden sands and is very wide and long, stretching around a curved bay, and protected by typical sandstone cliffs.
The beach at Praia d’Oura offers a wide variety of watersports, including windsurfing, water-skiing, parascending, jet skis and the always popular, banana boat rides, whilst scuba diving can be found in the next cove along. Many boat trips depart from Praia d’Oura - a great way to explore the hidden grottoes of the stunning Algarve coastline - and there are plenty of fishing trips available. There are many smaller quieter coves to be found around Praia d’Oura, and Albufeira can be reached on foot along the coast.
There are lovely clifftop coast paths and good bus connections along the Algarve coast in both directions. Children and teenagers on holiday in Albufeira will enjoy the Zoo Marine centre at Guia, as well as the English-language cinema, bowling and a strong emphasis on watersports.
There are 3 water parks within a short drive - our favourite is Slide and Splash.
How to get there
Faro airport is about 40 minutes by car.

A number of cheap airlines are now flying to Faro - take a look at www.skyscanner.net and this compares all prices for the cheap airlines such as Easyjet, Thomsonfly, Monarch, Flybe, Jet2, etc. For scheduled flights e.g. British Airways or TAP, then www.expedia.co.uk is a good site to look at.

The swimming pool is under construction but we have permission to use another pool at Hotel Aldea, which is 5 minutes walk away. Prices reflect the fact that the pool is still unfinished. Arrival time 3 p.m; departure time 10 a.m unless specifically agreed with the owners
