Being one of the newest beach front developments in Albufeira, with its rare stunning sea views, it’s a quiet condo, but still extremely close to the hustle and bustle of Albufeira. Literally only a two minute (250 metres) stroll through the private gated access takes you to the beach of Forte São Jõao.
The Apartment (privately owned) is in one of the few "PRIME POSITIONS" on the third level, overlooking the pool and sea, capturing the amazing view across Albufeira's Old Town. Because it’s the centre building, it’s very private and is "NOT OVERLOOKED" at all by any other apartments, all you can see from inside the lounge and bedroom is that fabulous sea. Wall to floor doors leading to the balcony open fully, enabling you to enjoy the outside from within....................... and the amazing views from beyond!!!

The apartment is furnished for contemporary living, and finished to an incredibly high specification. It boasts air-conditioning and heating in both the bedroom and the living-room.
The integrated kitchen is well equipped with high spec Miele appliances. Surfaces are covered with marble, porcelain and granite that completes the luxurious feel. Fully equipped with kettle, toaster, coffee maker, juicer, crockery, cutlery, pots, pans cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge,/ freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, and central vacuuming system...............everything you could possibly need

The living-room includes Samsung TV with Satellite and lots of English channels, DVD player and a selection of DVDs. The sofa opens to provide a comfortable double bed and the dining area comfortably seats 4 but can be extended to seat 6. The lounge can be completely segregated by the sliding doors accessing the kitchen, to enable privacy should the sofa bed be needed. Air-conditioning / Heating is fitted.

The Algarve / Central Algarve region

The Albufeira / Central Albufeira area
Albufeira is located in the central Algarve region of Portugal, just a short transfer from Faro Airport. It attracts huge numbers of tourists every year, who come for the fabulous climate, the great beaches, the numerous bars and restaurants, the many world-class golf courses, and the many other attractions within a short drive.
Albufeira "Old Town" is the heart of the city, and it's picturesque narrow streets offer numerous places to eat, drink and shop. If you are wanting even more lively nightlife, the famous "Strip" offers yet more options form eating and drinking. Albufeira has a modern marina and is famous for its apartments painted in dazzling bright colours. Albufeira is a perfect destination for families, couples and singles of all ages.
Albufeira was originally known as "Baltum" by the Romans. When the North African moors occupied the region from the 8th century they renamed it "Al-Buhera", which translates as "castle of the sea". Albufeira has the remains of a castle dating from Roman times, but most of the castle along with the town, was destroyed in the 1755 earthquake.The most visible pointer to the castle remains is the Torre do Relógio (clock tower), which was built on one of the old castle towers, and is normally lit up on festive occasions.
The main square in Albufeira "Old Town" is surrounded by cafés, restaurants and bars and is a perfect place to relax, take a cooling drink, or just as a meeting place. The streets leading off the square are a shoppers delight with clothes shops, leather goods, gift shops, street stalls and of course, all the practical shops for daily necessities.
There are also many more restaurants and bars in between the shops so there is never a shortage of places to eat and drink! It is worth mentioning that although English is very widely spoken and menus will normally be in 3 or 4 different languages, if you have any particular likes or dislikes or have special dietary requirements then you may find our food and drink information helpful.

Faro is the nearest airport approx 35m away / 30 minutes drive. Car hire is available at the airport. as well as Taxis.
As the apartment is centrally located to many of the local attractions, car hire is not essential. If, however, you want to explore the Algarve further, car hire is available at very reasonable rates. The local bus service is very efficient and reliable if you do not wish to drive.Many of the Budget airlines fly from U.K. and Ireland into Faro such as:

Everything about the property is stunning from the minute you go through the electronic gated access to being met on arrival and having an extensive handover about the property.
The apartment is finished to a high quality standard and is spotlesly clean and quiet with stunning views and sunsets but close to the old town and strip should you wish to go!
The swimming pool and grounds are also faultless and it is without doubt the best letting accomodation I have every stayed in.
The comms with the owner Maria was also seamless and very easy to sort everything out!!

The apartment in general was lovely, clean the only, down side was it was out the way, also we didnt have any water for 3 whole days and were told not to complain as she couldnt do anything, we payed alot of money to stay here and were not happy we didnt have the basic immunities such as running water. The pool area is large and extremely clean and great for people with children, the beach is a 2 min walk and the old town is 10 mins in a taxi theres alot more to do and see in the old town
If I can please explain, I have been advertising Quinta de Barracuda for over 2 years now and I can honestly say this is the first negative response from any guest?, obviously a disgruntled group, 4 adults and a toddler! However I don't feel this is the place to explain the reason why. If I can just say (maybe you can read between the lines) that we pride ourselves on providing luxurious accommodation that is kept to an extremely high standard, that's what all other guests have enjoyed and told us about! Guests regularly return booking 12 months in advance in some cases
The water situation, it certainly is a “basic amenity” and I can't believe this has been said? I never did speak with this guest whilst they were on holiday, I have an excellent management company who takes care of them. I was aware of a problem with the water supply that affected the whole condominium, but this only affected the building for a maximum of 4 hours, honestly not 3 days, if this had been the case the whole condominium would have had to close and guests would have been accommodated elsewhere, but this was never the case? The guest never once contacts me whilst on holiday.
The location is certainly in my opinion and the opinion of many guests, perfect, just 2 minutes from the beach, a 5 minute walk to the famous Strip where there's an abundance of bars and restaurants and a 15 minute walk along the beach in to Old Town, or 5 minutes in a taxi costing 3.5 euros. The Old Town is busier but it does not offer the quality of accommodation, obviously the buildings are older and more traditional.

We wanted sometimg special for our Honeymoon and that's exactly what we got. Outstanding accommodation in a fabulous location. Amazing sea views and the owners provide a excellent service. Would defiantly recommend the apartment to Family & Freinds and we hope to return soon
