The Algarve / Central Algarve region
All year round warm climate peaking in August with 30-40 Celsius with low of 15-18 Celsius in Dec & Jan Some of the finest golf courses in Europe within easy reach, Apartment is next door to Balaia Golf Village. Selection of fine beaches within walking distance, ranging from 15 to 30 mins leisurely walk. Beautiful way of life, with very friendly people Eating out is extremely cheap, and everywhere speaks English Apartment is situated near to Supermarket and other amenities
Albufeira / Balaia area
The accommodation is located in Balaia, this is part of Olhos D'Agua area close to some of the Algarve´s best beaches - with nice beach bars/restaurants, like Olhos D'Agua, Santa Eulalia, Maria Luisa, Falesia and others.
Albufeira town is 1km, around 20 mins walk. The old town is very interesting with narrow cobbled streets and old fisherman houses and then there are the numerous music bars and street entertainers together with regular free shows in the main square in the summer season. Along with the lively 'Strip' containing many bars, restaurants & nightclubs.
Algarve Shopping, the biggest shopping centre in the region with several shops, restaurants, bowling, hypermarket (open Mon-Sun until 12:00 pm) is about 20mins drive away, with free parking. There are many other activities and attractions within 30 mins drive, such as
Zoomarine Park Two Waterslide Parks Horse riding over the sand dunes Water sports & jet ski Big game & Reef fishing from Albufeira marina and Vilamoura marina we just centred between the two 10-20 min drive Krazy World (zoo & mini golf) River trips, Jeep Safaris, Sea day trips with barbecue on a secluded beach. Excursions to local markets and other places of interest in the Algarve, to Seville and Lisbon.
How to get there
Fly into Faro International airport, Olhos D'Agua is just 30 mins from the Airport and is accessible by the major road network. Direct flights available from most UK Airports. I have found great prices at www.travelsupermarket.com Car Hire available direct from Faro Airport. I have found great prices at www.travelsupermarket.com Local Taxis are available at the Airport and will cost about 30 Euros, I have details of a company that I would recommend who are very competitive.
